Upward Bound Seniors--check your email! I sent some scholarship info out yesterday and today. You should all have your packets by now, so go to work! See me with questions!

UB Alumni attending MCCC--Check your email also. I sent you something this morning, as well.

Everyone else: Keep working hard. You have a clean slate this week, so let's get the new semester off to a great start!

Mr. Friedline is out today, but UB will run, as scheduled, from 2:30 to 4:30, with Mr. Maughmer and Mr. Pinter. See you tomorrow!

Since so many have already asked: Yes, we do have Upward Bound today.

Correction: Stipends will only be available until 3:00. After that, they will be mailed out to students who have turned in their EDP.

Stipend checks will be available in the UB office, and at the holiday party, until the end of the day today (4:30). After that, they will be mailed home to students who have turned in an EDP. Students who have not turned in their EDP will have to wait until after the break.

Stipend checks will be available in the UB office on Wednesday, after 8:30 a.m., for students who have competed their EDPs. If you have not completed an EDP, go to the UB Google Classroom page, print one out and complete it, then return it to the UB office to pick up your check. See you at the party on Wednesday!

It has been a crazy (but fun!) couple weeks with two field trips in 5 days! We visited the U of M campus, along wth Jefferson and Monroe students, on Dec. 6, and we "Hit the Lights" at the Toledo Zoo on Monday. Good times; good times!

Upward Bound Students and Alumni--join us for the 2017 Holiday Party. A Bob Evans Holiday meal will be provided, along with a panel of Upward Bound alumni to talk about their experiences in college! Bus transportation will be provided afterward, at 4:30.

REMINDER: The Toledo Zoo Lights Before Christmas trip is today--right after Upward Bound at 4:30 p.m. Meet at the main entrance by the office. And dress for the weather!

Attention Upward Bound Alumni!

The AHS Upward Bound Program is having our annual holiday party on Wed., Dec. 20, from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. We would love to have some of our alumni join us for some good holiday food (provided by Bob Evans)—and all we would ask in return is for you to sit on a panel for about 15 to 20 minutes to talk about your experiences in college and to answer any questions the high school students may have.

We also have a “white elephant” gift exchange for who wants to participate. If you want to join in, just bring a wrapped gift of some kind.

If you plan to attend, please let me know so we can have an accurate head count. I hope to see you there—but if I don’t, have a great holiday break!

Thank you,
Mr. Friedline
