It’s such a mistake to walk into this place if you’re trying to save money. The selection of books the owner has curated and the price he sells them for pretty much compels you to spend money there. B...e warned: You WILL walk out of that store with no less than two excellent books for your library every time you go. See More

If you live in LA and you consider yourself a lover of books, than you need to do yourself a favor and visit Alias Books East. Alias represent an endangered species- "the locally owned book store", an...d that alone would be a good reason to support them but Patrick and Trip are also knowledgable, helpful and pleasant to deal with- I can't recommend this shop enough. I highly recommend Alias Books, from autographed L.F. Celine, to Contact with Space, by Wilhelm Reich! They are so eclectic it's eccentric, hinging on spooky esoteric!
