Effective January 1st, 2018 - The full ABC copay must be received by our organization at least one week prior to your scheduled appointment. We are no longer accepting payments after the surgery is performed.

Copays can be mailed to ...
Animal Birth Control
c/o Pam Wisor
1406 N 3rd St
Clinton, IA 52732

Paid via PayPal* using our
*Paying via PayPal will result in an additional $3.00 to be added to your copay.

You will need to provide your name, pets name, and appointment date when making your copay payment.

Once the full copay is received, we will mail a voucher to you. You MUST take this with you to the clinic and present it at drop-off on the day of surgery.

No voucher = No assistance

🐾How do I know if my copay is paid off?

The vet clinic will not be able to check with us to see if you have made your copay. If you have a voucher signed by one of our board members, then you have paid your copay in full. If you believe you have paid your copay in full, and have not received a voucher, please contact us.

🐾What if I forget my voucher at home the day of surgery?

No voucher = no assistance
You will be required to pay full price for surgery.

🐾Can I bring my voucher back when I pick up my pet?

No. The vet clinic will already have entered the surgery details in their system, and you will be required to pay full price.

🐾Why can’t I make payments on copays anymore? Don’t you want to help people?

We want to help as many people as we can. Since 1986, we’ve helped spay or neuter over 10,000 pets. We’ve had a pretty relaxed stance at payments, but have also had grants readily available. Unfortunately, people have been proving that they aren’t always as good as their word when it comes to paying us back for our services. Grants are also now hard to come by. In order to keep helping people, we need to make sure the ones we help are keeping true to their word.

🐾Does this mean ABC may no longer be able to provide assistance in the near future?

Absolutely not. We are in no way in danger of not being able to provide assistance, but we need clients to keep true to their word.

The Doggie Easter Egg Hunt is coming up=== Can't wait..
Little kitten...our 6 year old niece is having daily conversations with a kitten that will be hers in 7 weeks. She lives over 2 hours away so numerous pictures are sent daily plus a good night video. She has named the 3 week old kitten Milo snap Spencer. Love the mind of a 6 year old. Milo is eating half an ounce of formula every 3 hours, pooping well, taking his meds, eye drops, running around, and lots of play time with my husband.
We loved seeing these two play

The next Midwest Pets For Life Vaccination/Microchip clinic for dogs and cats will be held February 1st at the Clinton, Iowa Farm & Fleet. We regrat that we had... to cancel the clinic in January due to the frigid temperatures but felt it was the right decision. Please watch our facebook page for any future cancellations. Certainly we always do what we feel is the best for our clients and their pets. WE look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday, February 1st, at Farm & Fleet, from 1:00PM to 5:00PM for vaccinations and microchips. IF YOU ARE WANTING A THREE-YEAR RABIES VACCINATION, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PROOF THAT YOUR PET'S PREVIOUS VACCINATION HAS NOT EXPIRED. YOU WILL NEED YOUR RABIES CERTIFICATE AS PROOF. TAGS ARE NOT CONSIDERED PROOF. ALSO, DO NOT EXPECT OUR VET TO POUR THROUGH RECORDS LOOKING FOR YOUR CURRENT RABIES CERTIFICATE. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR PREVIOUS CERTIFICATE READILY AVAILABLE, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO GET THE ONE-YEAR VACCINATION.

ABC Clients-

We are doing some switching with our phone, so if you attempt to reach us today, you may receive an error message while they are making updates. Please be patient with us during the transition.

All of our contact information will remain the same. We were just gifted with a fancier phone and now we have to figure out how to use it!

We are confident that we will be up and running by tomorrow and apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may cause.

Happy Friday!

We don’t normally post things like this, but we feel it’s important.

If you must rehome your pet, please do extensive checking on the family you are giving them to. Search for them and their posts on social media. Call their vet. Ask for references. Please be sure your pet is spayed/neutered before rehoming. If something doesn’t feel right, then it probably isn’t.

Believe it or not, there are are dog fighting rings in our area, and there are numerous people who will “flip” ...easily acquired pets, meaning they will re-sell them for a higher dollar amount for profit.

Now that the serious part is over, here’s a cute kitten picture to bring your spirits back up.

I have no words to describe the generous amounts of love and support that we have had in helping with our little Pumpkin. Sadly, we still don’t have her back. B...ut.... we have had an extremely generous angel offer to DOUBLE our reward! We are now offering $1,000 for the safe return of our baby. There will be no questions asked, just to hold and squeeze our little one again. We cannot thank everyone enough for all that has been done. Please, share and get the word out to get her home! Thank you again!
