You would not believe what happens sometimes behind the scenes during LIVE TV. Here is the setup, we were LIVE with me wearing a large "Bubble" for bubble ball soccer. It's an awkward contraption and it puts you off balance. While broadcasting LIVE -WHAM! Direct hit. What's especially funny is how my crew scrambled trying to assist, needless to say the monitor was toast AND the forecast was still delivered
Made me chuckle...I hope it does the same for yo...u!
Have a great day!

1-7 people in Ontario have a disability, that's 15% of the provincial population. Today we discovered a Canadian technological breakthrough that's changing lives! It essentially provides a secondary artificial musculo-skeletal structure that compensates for a weak muscle with customized software and advanced artificial intelligence. This man wearing the device not only can walk, he recently ran a 10km marathon!
It's a trend that has taken off around the world, with over 40 of them operating across North America - a Tool Library. A place where one can literally sign out or borrow a tool to use for free. (There is a small membership fee for the year) but a huge saving considering one has over 10,000 tools, sporting equipment and even games to choose from. There are 3 locations.
1499 Queen Street West
and 830 St. Clair West.

I just posted this on my instagram account - did I mention "I'm now on Instagram"? 😜. Hope you can follow me there as well. Anyway a viewer asked me the other day about the huge monitor on set, wondering if it was a super large TV? A great question and here is the answer.

Have a great weekend!
Did you know the "skating trail" capital of Canada is right here in Ontario? It's in Muskoka - but we have many skating trails in the GTA that are open too and offer a real fun way to enjoy winter! Thanks Town of Richmond Hill for being great hosts. This trail is open 7 days a week 10-10pm and they have a heated lace up area and lights. Have Fun!!
Another slow drive today, both for the drive and drive home. All the details here.
Have a great day!!
This weekend its all about ginormous trucks, high speed, roaring engines and lots of flying dirt. Monster Jam is on at the Rogers Center. It's a show unlike any other - with 350 shows happening a year all around world. The trucks are custom and cost over 1/2 million bucks to make, maintain and tour. I spent the afternoon, getting a behind the scenes look at this sport, one with perhaps the most dedicated fans around. Here's a quick sample from the current World Champ in Monster Jam racing - Ryan Anderson!
