This bookstore is quite big and has a lovely selection of small gift items as well. I stopped here on my way to Maine because it is featured in “My Bookstore”. The girl at the register was sweet enoug...h to sign my book as proof that I was there. I always buy from independent bookstores, so I bought a signed copy of a new release and some hard to find paper tags for the table. Would have loved to spend more time there. See More

This place is great, forget Amazon, barns and noble, etc. This is the only place I'll get new books, it's a local independent book shop, so the money spent usually stays in the community. They're nice people, and if you can't find the book you want, they'll order it from the distributors and have it in a few days.

This is my backup to the Bookbarn, if they don't have what I need, I'll go here. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to expand their libraries, find your child a copy of some Harry Potter book, or who just has a love of reading and wants that tactile feeling of a hardcover or paperback book. And you get to support a local small business too, Its a win win.

I give bank square books in mystic, 5 gold stars.

Love this local indy bookstore! In addition to thousands of books (love the staff picks) there are wonderful gifts - cards, mugs, puzzles, magnets with pithy sayings. You can spend an hour wandering a...round! Their support of local authors is second to none. See More

Bank Square Books presents an open house book signing with local author Brittany Taylor for her book Without You. This event is free and open to the public.

About the Book
Em’s young life has been riddled with loss. After losing their mother suddenly at the age of eleven, Em and her brother move to Texas to live with their estranged father. Finally, as Em begins to adjust to her new life, six years to the day of her mother's death, her grandmother unexpectedly passes away.

By her senior year of high school, Em has cried a lifetime’s worth of tears. But when she meets Ben, things begin to turn around. The two fall deeply in love, and Em finally seems headed for happier times. But tragedy seems to stalk her, and another traumatic experience proves too much for Em and Ben’s relationship to endure.

A few years later, Em is twenty-one and still struggling with her breakup from the boy she loved. Seeking a distraction from her depression, Em ventures into a club and meets Cam. Fate seems to bring the two together, and Cam and Em soon form a relationship. But when Cam confesses that their days together are numbered, Em again faces losing someone she cares for just as she’s learning to love again. When Ben unexpectedly reenters her life, Em faces a whirlwind of emotions and a series of critical decisions about life and love. Without You is a novel about one woman's journey to finding true happiness and the choices we are forced to make in the midst of life's tragedies.
