Trivia Night in Barneveld - a small group of residents enjoyed a fun evening of trivia at the American Legion Hall on Tuesday February 13th. Along with racking our brains for answers to a wide variety of questions, we shared lots of laughter and camaraderie as we got to know each other better. We would like to make this an ongoing community event but we need more people to participate. Our next trivia night will be Tuesday March 13th (no ball games this night). Please consider checking out this fun activity. Come alone or bring a team. Trivia night is popular throughout Dane County. Let's make it popular in Barneveld as well.

Trivia night starts at 6:30.

Congratulations to Lee Pollock and Russ Moyer, Barneveld Post 433 is at 100% membership again.

From the Commanders Desk.

The American Legion, and your local Eveland—Trainor, Post 433
Nationally the American Legion supports sponsors and backs so many great programs for the betterment of the United States and its citizens.
The Men and Women who are either in the service or are Veterans is just one of many priorities we constantly consider our top priority to protect and better the rights they have coming to them. If you would go to mylegion.org you will find the State... and National great and civil minded programs the Legion are supporting.
Eveland/ Trainor Post 433 contributes to all those programs but we are also very proud of what we contribute locally. Every year we sponsor usually two boys at Badger Boy State from our school which is $250.00 each. At least $ 10,000.00 has been awarded to graduating seniors from our High School. Over $ 30,000.00 dollars for the construction cost of the Veterans memorial at the Post so far. The Barneveld Post members are very proud of the new Chapel at Camp American Legion where Veterans and families can spend a week to get their lives back together. Recently the Post donated $ 5,000.00 to the refurbishing of Birch Lake. That is a list of a few of the projects we have contributed to in the last couple years. The Legion hall and banquet hall is the home of the Village Christmas Party for Children. The Library holds its Halloween party here every year; All area Churches are welcome to our facilities, Schools Athletic banquets and their fund raisers, Girl Scouts, not to mention 4 days of Hunters safety classes, and the Red Cross Blood Drive twice a year, plus all the fund raisers for families and individuals are held here. And most nonprofit organizations fund raisers use our facilities free of charged.
None of these accomplishments at the National level, State level and especially what your local Post achieves would be possible without the support of all our members and the friends of the American Legion. And for that we thank you for your continued support. As a paid up Member you may be interested in what the American Legion is actually involved in and what your own post has been involved in lately. So this message is for all of our Members and for the Veterans we want to be members of our Post
There is strength in numbers. Your renewal, or if you would join us as a new member and never attended a meeting you would still be important to our Post and all the National and State Programs striving to make our children and youth and all Veterans benefits and our Country strong again and be a positive force in helping providing hope for a great future for the United States of America.
