I had the unfortunate task of having to surrender a litter of puppies after another dog found it's way into my yard to visit my dog. The staff never made me feel bad and seemed to respect my decision take them to the shelter instead of using Facebook to find them homes. They were very generous in offering me vouchers to get my dog fixed so that I will not have to be in this position again. After the puppies were checked out I asked how they looked. I was told a couple were over weight, but they could work with that. I am extremely grateful that our county has an animal shelter that has such an understanding staff. I hope one day to be able to adopt from them. For now my home has enough pets. See More

I have nothing but good things to say about this place and these people. I have adopted one of my cats and my dog from here and it is clean, the staff is friendly, and most importantly the animals ar...e well cared for. The effort they put into this Facebook page alone is clear evidence of how much they care about finding as many of these animals as they can loving, caring homes and how much passion they have for what they do. I love that they take time to photograph each animal not only for the shelter page but also once they get adopted. This is a wonderful shelter and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new family member.

**As a note: I think some of the people leaving negative reviews do need to consider the fact that this is an animal shelter, not a retail location. They are providing a much valued service to not only the animals but to the community as well, they are not turning a huge profit off of these animals. This is a kill shelter that is incredibly fortunate to go through so many adoptions each day. We should be celebrating that there are crowds of people trying to adopt a rescue pet, not scorning a place that literally saves animal lives every day. Your negative review may be the difference between an animal getting adopted and getting put down. THINK.**

You can tell by all their fb posts that they really care about all of the animals. If all the shelters put this much work into getting pets adopted, there would be less put down. We adopted our P.J. f...rom them, and the staff was great. I definitely recommend going here first. See More

I think it's sad the amount of people who have missing pets, call to see if they are there and told no just to see them adopted out on this page to another family, have to pay the adoption fee to get ...their own pet back or even euthanized when their family are looking for them. I'm not sure whether it's lack of knowledge from staff, lack of caring or just pure greed but none of it is acceptable. This place is sickening and should be shut down. I can't imagine what those poor animals go through while in that hell hole but it sickens me more to know that it's ran by the sheriff's department. See More

We went here to replace our dog of 13 yrs in the hopes that we would be able to find a dog that was as good with our baby and our older boy. We thought that if we were lucky we would find one that hop...efully was also taken care of well. We left we Korey now named Kody and we couldn't be happier. He is a 1 yr old Lab Mix who is not only Good with the kid's but also listens already and doesn't pee or poop in the house while also NOT being a problem @ night when we put him in his cage ( he just simply went to bed ). Thank You do much Brunswick Animal Shelter for helping us fill the whole in our family that our Dog Sydney left 3 months ago when he passed. See More

As I was describing your shelter to friends today, I simply said "you know your at a good shelter when you can smell the cleanliness from outside the front door". The dogs are well cared for and the... staff is friendly and helpful. They genuinely care for the animals and want the best for them. We were looking for a black lab puppy and the staff told us about 3 in the shelter. We came looking for one we had seen online, but left with another. We adore her and without the helpful staff and their guidance we would not have found her. Thank you so much for caring for the animals so graciously. Bay-formerly Marsha has really come out of her shell and left the scared little girl far behind. We are so happy you saw her potential. See More

We attended the Clear the Shelter event, and couldn't be happier that we did! We adopted Korey (now Kody) and he's a smart, happy, perfect addition to our family! He's great with the kids, and res...pectful of giving our 11 yr old cat his space while he gets used to a dog being in the house again. Such a sweet dog. Great experience! Thank you! See More

Hello, I'm currently in Iraq and coming home in three weeks or so. I saw the ad for the Wimeraner puppies and had a friend show up and get in line to adopt one so we could get our dream dog for my re...turn. She showed up early like any prepared person would do. Third in line. There were seven of these gorgeous puppies up for adoption opening at 1000 today. When she got in there, they had adopted two of them out the day prior and allowed around 50 people to enter instead of the first seven who took the time out of their schedule to be early like it is in any sale situation (just look around on Black Friday). They then decided to draw names from a hat. Thanks a lot for screwing over the ones who actually spent the effort to give these dogs loving homes. I will never use this shelter again and will definitely not recommend them to anyone. See More
