Q: I already submitted an application. How long will it take for me to receive my passport and my citizenship evidence documents?
A: Those who submit their passport applications on or after September 28 will receive the new passport within 10-12 weeks of submitting the application. We are not able to return any documents before the passport is completed.
Q: If I have already submitted my application, can I upgrade to expedited service?
A: Yes. If you want to upgrade your pending application to expedited service, contact the National Passport Information Center at 1-877-487-2778.
