After teaching English Literature for three decades Bushra retired to devote herself to her first passion; the uplift and empowerment of women. A pioneer founder of Womens’ Action Forum(WAF), a vigorous participant in movements to restore democracy (MRD, 1980’s) and the judiciary(2007-9), she bravely faced police brutality, arrests and jail. Presently heads Womens' Cricket leading young girls, even from the remotest parts of Pakistan, to glory in Asian Cricket.
