On Sunday April 15, 2018, I will be shaved for childhood cancer research for my tenth year being a "shavee".
I have a goal for $4,600.00 which might seem like a strange goal but the reason I choose that goal is that it is $100.00 for each of the 46 children that will be diagnosed with cancer....
Hopefully many of you will consider taking a couple of dollars that would be used to purchase a specialty drink or alcoholic beverage or designate a few dollars from your tax return.
Remember that each and every donation is greatly appreciated and will be another step closer to my goal.
You did it! The STAR Act passed the Senate today and is on to the House!
As the most comprehensive childhood cancer legislation ever introduced to Congress, th...e STAR Act will help kids with cancer & childhood cancer survivors live long, healthy lives.
How can you help? Email your representatives today, asking them to pass the STAR Act: http://bit.ly/email-congress-now
Sends blankets and other items to children-main focus is children with heart conditions but packages have been sent to children in treatment for cancer.
The girl behind this page is a high school student and has done some great projects so consider requesting a card for your child from her. She is awesome and know that the cards that she makes are really beautiful.
Have not heard if anyone has received from this group but know that children really love getting mail so this might be a great resource for any children in treatment for cancer.
Sends blankets for children with cancer and when children are going through treatment the blankets will help keep them warm and comfy.
These are the absolute softest blankets that can be very comforting to the children in treatment for cancer. Consider requesting your child's blanket.
Many of you have already connected with this foundation but just in case you have not done so please consider having your child receive these joy jars.
Request a hospital gown for your child's bear or special doll from this group.
This is another group that many of the children in treatment would benefit from and would like the doll.
Message sent to us with the photo of the bear that was sent to another one of the brave children facing childhood cancer.
Thank you so much for the sweet CURE Bear you sent Aiden. He loves it, he has to go to the hospital every other week for treatment and likes to take a stuffed animal with him. I’m sure CB (that’s the bears name) will be making many trips to St Jude with us.
You guys are an amazing organization, thanks for bringing smiles to kids!
