I've been a member for over a year in the Cancer support group. It has become a part of my routine for the week every Tuesday. Anthony and the staff are wonderful! So kind and approachable. Dr. Jim is... an awesome facilitator. My group is my alternate family. We're close and no topic is taboo. I'll be a longe time supporter of the Cancer Researh Center. See More

The center provides a diverse range of services that aren't always so commonly known. . . It's a true Blessing and needs your support to continue to provide for those in need...So reach out and see what you can do to enrich this resource. See More

6th Annual Police & Fire Charity Softball Event

Please mark your calendars for a fun day of softball and community spirit for a great cause! On Sunday, September 16th at Community Park, police officers and firefighters from Munster, Highland, Lansing, and Dyer will be competing in two-sets of softball games to raise money for the Cancer Resource Centre of Munster, which provides free support to cancer patients and their families.

The games will begin at 1:30pm but will be pre...ceded by a Home Run Derby at 12:00pm which the public is also invited to attend. The event will also include a performance of the National Anthem, prize drawings, music, ice cream and concessions, a K-9 demonstration, and other activities for the whole family.

Tickets are only $5.00 and will be available from any of the participating teams starting in late May (information will be posted here). We hope that you'll make plans to come out to support your hometown police and fire and to support the Cancer Resource Centre's efforts.

For more information about this event, please contact the Munster Police Department's Community Policing Unit at 219-836-6639. We hope to see you there!
