— with Phil Shnayderman at Chipotle Mexican Grill (185 Montague St, Brooklyn, NY).This used to be my favorite lunch spot until today, I ordered a bowl and drink and they're gonna tell me I can't have a bag with handles unless I order more than 2 items. Seriously ?!!! I usually stop at other stores with my bags now I can't go shopping ??? They won't be seeing me oh BTW!!! This is the one no Montague street!! Wack
I got food poisoning from Chipotle back in 2014. These food poisoning incidents are not isolated - the company has poor standards for food quality throughout its entire operation. Additionally, the last few times I've eaten at Chipotle (I no longer eat there anymore), the food was prepared horribly and the crispy taco's that I ordered were soggy and disgusting. Potential customers - please avoid this company altogether, they are thoroughly rotten to the core!
I'm giving Chipotle 5 stars to combat all the people giving the company 1 star because of a knee-jerk reaction to a story of which they either don't know all the facts or refuse to acknowledge them.
It's clear that the employee that chose to harass customers was in the wrong, but it was also wrong for the customers to exaggerate what actually happened. Chipotle has investigated and taken appropriate action. If people are still angry about it or think their apology didn't go far enough, get over it and get a life.
The company has done nothing wrong to merit the criticism and vitriol directed toward them over this one isolated, spontaneous incident that occurred without their knowledge or approval. Chipotle is awesome and I will still continue to patronize their establishments.
Screw your store. I am a big fan of chipotle and this news is ridiculous. Its obvious that you are an equal opportunity employer because you have uneducated morons working for you. I hope if someone is ever robbing your store that the police throw their hands up and say, "eh whatever" but the fact of the matter is that they won't. The reason they won't is that they are better than you. You bunch of morons allow your employees to make martyrs out of criminals while refusing se...rvice to heros. Are you that twisted? Fire the stupid ass employee who did this and make it known as well as give a public apology. I am so mad about this because I love Chipotle and thought you dumb asses were better than this. The apology that was not public was okay but not giving any information about what was done means that nothing was done at all. Get your act together jackoffs
See MoreSeems Chipotle is being attacked for both apologizing and not apologizing for one employee's actions. The people here have to see the irony of the phrase damned if you do, damned if you don't. I like their food, though the prices are higher than I like. Perhaps a review of the terms of employment for future incidents would be beneficial, and ignore the hate coming from the liberal and conservative knuckleheads reviewing you for the sole purpose of raging hate. They don't seem to understand that they are in agreement of each other for no reason.
Chipotle doesn't control their employees or what they say. If they apologize (which they did), they get backlash from that. On the flip side, Chipotle is also getting backlash for not firing the employees involved in the "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" demonstration. But if they did, they'd get even more backlash for infringing on free speech. Boycott them all you want, but it's wrong to vilify a company for this. It's a no win situation, no matter what they do, people will be angry.
So, how about we just stick to this: Chipotle is a restaurant. I've given them 5 stars in my review because I love their food.
I was just thinking about this situation... it is unfortunate that the employee protested against something that he/she did not believe in while at work. But, didn't the police officers do the very same thing when they protested the NYC Mayor by turning their backs on him while at work and in uniform?
Bottom line, American citizens have a right to protest. I support the Police Officers AND the protestors, I will not always agree with their tactics or their point of view, but as long as it is not violent or profane, everyone has a right to follow his/her conscience.
The management of Chipotle Mexican Grill didn't stand by their employee who made a statement that police abuse is no longer acceptable... The police officers chose to leave the establishment without ordering, and if they felt uncomfortable, that's their problem... The decent police officers should also be offended by unnecessary police violence and killing...
This movement is not anti police, it's anti unnecessary police violence and killing, and everyone, and that includes Chipotle should be opposed to unnecessary violence and killing...
And by not taking a stand, you failed your brave employee, and the community, who want to make the world a better place for everyone... Goodbye Chipotle...
