Gratitude Check: the Lord gave me a number of simple pleasures this morning: seeing all my people before I left, coffee, birds singing, a car that runs, fresh water to drink. Things I’d dearly miss if they were absent. He is good and I’m thankful.

This is a church that takes family very seriously. We are one body of Christ and one family through Him. The love and support is just incredible. Pastor Gabe’s preaching is convicting and relevant, an...d keeps your attention well. This is a church I’ve grown up in, and I have no plans of leaving. It’s just a beautiful example of what the Lord meant when He said come together. See More

It's an amazing place of grace. I've never been at a church that was so friendly, communal and focused on the good news of the Gospel.

As news of the death of #BillyGraham spreads, there'll undoubtedly be those who will ascribe to him a place in heaven because of his 'good works'. But good works isn't why Graham is in heaven. He's in heaven because he believed in Jesus. It's how anyone gets to heaven (Rom. 10:9)

“Someday you will read or hear that Billy Graham is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive than I am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God.”

Christians, let’s stop and pray right now for south Florida, for victims’ families, and for police as they deal with this devastating wickedness.

Ash Wednesday on the same day as Valentine’s Day, because the greatest love in the world came in response to our deepest need.

Easter Sunday on April 1st, because an empty tomb will always look like folly unless we understand the meaning of our own deaths.

Church: do you talk about porn in your homes? Have sons? Daughters? Then talk about porn. It's poison and that's not in dispute. https://t.co/293RnUe8nc

“I agree with @DouthatNYT. Why not ban porn or, at the very least, make it much more difficult to access, especially online? I don't know anyone whose life has been improved by the easy availability of porn. It also degrades and objectifies the human person https://t.co/5LR6WyJD5W

Church: ever thought of this as a social justice issue? To stop is to honor God's will in the Bible and those whom He made in His image. https://t.co/3engX8qF8x

“If you’re committed to social justice, there’s at least one tangible thing you can do immediately: stop looking at porn, right now and forever, and persuade as many other people to stop as well.”

Church: an important question as we prepare to study Mark 14:1-11 - the extravagant anointing of Jesus with costly perfume. Whether we "like" Him or whether we recognize His great intrinsic "value"? https://t.co/rtg2yfmyUd

“"Do I like it?" and "Is it valuable?" are not the same question.”

Church: reading in Psalm 43:5 and wondering in my heart why David (and I) can be cast down in soul when Christ has purchased us by His blood, setting us free and giving us hope? Newton is right, isn't he? Yet in God we may find hope even if in our flesh we still find sin. https://t.co/z2YilLbvds

Church: preaching this text on Sunday! Let’s gather and invest in Jesus!! https://t.co/4RdrE5s7bh

“Mary, the sister of Lazarus, used a bottle of perfume worth a yearly salary just to wash Jesus' feet. No resource invested in Jesus is ever wasteful.”
