In partnership with Waste Management, Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce, and the Beautification and Environmental Sustainability Board, the Green Awards honor businesses and non-profit/civic organizations that have implemented green initiatives distinctive to the character of Cedar Hill. Winner of the Green Business of the Year will receive a $1000 prize and winner of the Green Project of the Year will receive a $500 prize. To nominate or to find out more visit cedarhilltx.com/greenawards. Nominations have been extended to Friday, February 9. The winners will be announced at the Celebrating Business Awards on March 1.

Today employees and their families honored the Cedar Hill community and Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy by giving their holiday time for a Day of Service, volunteering at non-profits, cleaning our roadways, and serving their neighbors.

Cedar Hill Government Offices will be closed on Monday, January 15 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The following facilities are also closed: Alan E. Sims Cedar Hill Recreation Center, Tri-City Animal Shelter & Adoption Center, Senior Center, and Zula B. Wylie Public Library in Cedar Hill, Texas.
