It rained and then the sun shined just as Mayor Eric Clarkson - Chamblee, GA , Councilmembers, City Manager Jon Walker and Parks and Rec Staff cut the ribbon on Canfield Park Sunday. A great way to celebrate Earth Day is to offer our newest neighborhood park and its amenities to the surrounding area. Enjoy!

Everyone should know this before traveling or living in Chamblee. They are all about their money. Especially the court system and police department. I had a not so special experience with them over an... expired tag as a result of buying a car right before my birthday and the confusion it caused. Needless to say, I was driving around only owing $20 for renewal and unaware of it until I was pulled over in Chamblee. I was ticketed and told by the officer that he could have towed my car(my one month old daughter and wife were with me). When I went to the court date and told the solicitor that I would have never knowingly driven around only owing $20 with the risk of my daughter, wife and I being left on the side of the road watching my car being carried away all she had to say was “You can pay $100 instead of $140. There’s nothing you can do. We don’t let these things go”. Well I was floored. So I pleaded not guilty trial by jury. Which sent the case to state court. Last month I had my court date at Dekalb County Superior Court. I left with a dismissal and a warning. All I paid for was parking. The city of Chamblee will not get any revenue from me. Not now. Not ever. See More

Not sure who to contact about this but the red-light situation on Chamblee tucker between I-85 and I-285 is RIDICULOUS!!!! Every time I traverse that stretch of road, I get stopped by EVERY traffic li...ght which is about every 100 yards. And thse kicker is that there is NEVER ANY traffic going in or out of the cross streets at those intersections. In particular the red light at Alton/Barkside is extremely dangerous when you're heading on Chamblee-Tucker westbound bc you are coming around a curve and do not see the red light until you are right on it. Last week I completely ran through the red light bc I did not see it in time and this morning I nearly got rear-ended bc the driver behind me did not see it. Someone please get control of these lights and program them to be more in-line with the traffic patterns!!! PS, if this is a county issue or you know of someone I could contact please let me know! Enjoyed Chamblee Rocks! concert with Blair Crimmins and Big Sam's Funky Nation! I used to go to the concerts on the Marietta Square but they have gotten to be so crowded and some people are rude. This... was a wonderful crowd, very diverse in every way, yet they seemed like family and all enjoyed the music! I hope it continues (but doesn't grow too big!) It was great to have good options for dinner/drinks, too! Thanks for offering this to the public! See More

I live in Lilburn and travel through Chamblee everyday for work. This town is such a delight for me. A friend and I (she' s from Kennesaw) attended the Chamblee Rocks concert last Friday and had an ...incredible night! The diverse crowd was awesome and we made new friends. The trolley service was great. Excellent presentation of music and your charming city did not disappoint! Thanks for sharing! See More

I am SO DAMNED happy that we've been annexed by this small, upcoming and delightful little city! The police and sanitation have been remarkable. Hell, I'm happy if you raise my taxes a wee bit because... we actually get what we pay for! Thank you SO much!!!
- A grateful citizen in a great place.

To whom should potholes on Chamblee streets be reported?? There's a huge one at the intersection of Chamblee-Dunwoody and Hartsmill Rds that needs serious attention. It needs to be filled or covered--...--not just an orange paint ring around it. You don't see it until you're right on it---especially when there's another car in front of you. This is very dangerous. Please fix!! ..well as all the other neglected potholes on Chamblee-Dunwoody Rd in Chamblee between the perimeter and Buford Highway. Thank you!!!! See More

Well I've had the worst experience here with your police. I work in a small buisness we got all the proper paper work to sell falcons gear for you guys and they have done nothing but harass me each da...y, some read the paper work and say I'm good some just don't plain care. I honestly think someone is call me in for no reason. See More

Not only does this new city, that I did not vote for, want to charge $120.00 for a permit to cut tress on my own property, but I have to prove that they are on my property! They need to find other wa...ys of creating city revenue. See More

The City of Chamblee is getting its footing and I must agree that a tree cutting permit charge of $120 is high. On the other hand, it's possible that a neighbor has questioned your right and need to c...ut. Green trees do preserve privacy, noise abatement and oxygen. See More

Love that I called the police to tell them there were suspicions people hanging in the dugouts at Keswick Park. Office drive by... did not even bother to pull in the parking lot.

I was okay with the city until I met one of its wonderful police officers today. It's good to know I'm about to contribute to such an unfriendly yet revenue-generating police force. The city must be proud...

Do you think Chamblee can spend some $$$ and fix the oil leaks in their trash trucks ? First they drive around and pick up the recycle bins dropping oil burning gas then they drive back around and up regular trash burning gas dropping more oil. See More

Love this city!

Is there a schedule to send out the next round of recycling bins? We ordered ours in late March and haven't received notification of when we can expect it.

Thanks for all you do!
