My daughter and I were there for a tour of Luther. The hotel we stayed in was awesome! We got to do a little shopping at the Co-Op and Moshi (?) And had lunch at the Angry Pickle. The campus is beaut...iful! So many nice people in this city. See More

The city of Decorah needs to do a better job cracking down on drugs....they also need to build an out look like the one at Phelps park up at Palisades.

November 17 - We are thankful for Officer Chris Wuebker and the Decorah Police Dept. Officer Wuebker is a recipient of the 2017 Enrique S. Camarena Award, named after the DEA agent who was murdered in Mexico in 1985 while working undercover to fight the drug cartels. The award is presented each year to local law enforcement officers who best exemplify the qualities and principles for which Agent Camarena gave his life -- specifically, making their communities a safer place to... live through drug prevention and enforcement efforts.

Officer Wuebker of the Decorah Police Department is one of two Iowa law enforcement officers to be honored for their commitment to reducing drug abuse.

Wuebker's award was presented by the US Attorney's offices and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Thank you to Officer Wuebker and the entire Decorah Police Dept.

Drones are becoming a vital tool for first responders across Eastern Iowa. Authorities used one to find six people stranded along the Yellow River near Effigy Mounds last night. That’s in Allamakee County.
