Ockerman Middle School Chorus

This is a great program for NKY schools and parents. ParentCamp brings parents and educators together to break down barriers between school and home.

Many parents think educators speak a different language. Words and acronyms that roll off teachers’ tongues – PBIS, RTI, growth mindset, IEP or standards-based grading – leave parents perplexed.

Lenten Fish Fry season is winding down for a lot of our local parishes. Check out the Northern Kentucky Fish Fry Page for listings and find a fry near you.

National retailer Toys R Us has announced that they plan to close or sell all of their 800 stores. This includes the Toys R Us location on Connector Drive and Babies R Us on Houston Road. We recognize that Toys R Us and Babies R Us have special memories for many of our Florence families.

We wish there was an opportunity for these businesses to stay in Florence, but the decision has been made at a national level and impacts all stores in the United States. The City of Flor...ence staff works diligently to grow our economic base. There is a chance that the franchise could be purchased by another company. If that is not the case, we will work with the property owners on finding new uses that provide thriving businesses interested in coming to the City of Florence and these locations.
