Wanted to let everyone know that Mike is making some progress it is very slow going however it is still progress. He is awake more and more each day and with some assistance he is able to move his hand/arm. Mike speech is still not quite there but he is making progress in that area as well.
We are still accepting donations for Mike and his family and it seems like we are getting them in daily. Yesterday we received a very generous donation from Indian Valley Firefighter (Sto...nyford) and a donation from a citizen who said that she didn't even know Mike but wanted to pay it forward. Today we Received a donation from Princeton Fire and earlier in the week Marysville Fire and Chico Fire sent in generous donations as well. We are closing in on $15,000 and I am so proud of our community for coming together to help one of our own. I am also proud to be a firefighter and to witness how our brothers and sisters in the fire service have also stepped up to help a brother firefighter and his family during their time of need!!!

Todays fundraiser for Firefighter Mike Bell was a huge success that far exceeded our expectations. A big thank you to the citizens of colusa and colusa county, your generosity is inspiring to all of us. Its days like today that remind us why we choose to live in a small community such as ours. Today we collected $12,738 in donations to help Mike Bell and his family with medical bills, food, rent, and all other day to day expenses during his recovery.
