Our own Board of Supervisors wants to take away our right to build affordable housing now following the devastating fires. They will discuss changes to Class K Building permits that will essentially gut the Class K Act.
SHOW UP TUESDAY MORNING at the Chambers, 501 Low Gap, Ukiah, to express your concern about changes to Class K.
The Board of Supervisors is meeting on Class K revisions this coming Tuesday, 2/27th at 10:15 am. It is very important to fill the sups chambers to send a messa...ge to the decision makers. It is on agenda on county’s website, seen below, or email/call me at 895-3243 or Rainbow (email below, 895-3807, on Monday. If you can’t attend, consider calling or emailing your supervisor.
Attached to this FB page is a note containing the extensive information compiled by Captain Rainbow in Anderson Valley on Class K proposed amendments. This has a big effect on affordable housing in our county.
Please help keep Class K as a viable building alternative for affordable housing.

PROTEST THE NRA IN FORT BRAGG. March 3, 4:00, Pentecost Hall
Please join us. The NRA is coming to Fort Bragg on Saturday, March 3 at 5:00, to fundraise (monie...s used to purchase congressman and senators) and "educate youth" on guns. They are selling tickets to this banquet costing from $60 to $4500. Some of the tickets include a free gun. TAKE A LOOK AT THEIR INVITATION attached here. It will give you a look at the event they have planned.
We have a plan of our own. Come meet at Pentecost Hall, March 3,at 4:00 and join a counter protest to let them know that we will no longer stand quietly on the side while our country's children are being killed. They have shown that they HAVE NO SHAME. On Wednesday the NRA had a Valentines's Day-theme tweet that urged its nearly 500,000 followers to "buy your loved one a gun." This ad was sent while a teenager in Florida was opening fire on his former high school classmates with an AR-15 assault rifle. IT IS JUST NOT OKAY.
Please join your neighbors while they stand with signs and picket the NRA as they enter an event to celebrate themselves while families in Florida are gathering to bury their children. Please come and please share this notice with your personal lists and put it on your own social media pages if you can. MARCH 3... 4:00...PENTECOST HALL, 822 STEWART ST., FORT BRAGG.
From Carole Brodsky- I received this email earlier today from a friend in Fort Bragg. Passing this along with the hope that you will pass this along. It's a rare opportunity to have the NRA drop into our laps at such a critical time. Hope our county can make our presence felt.

Army Corps to host Lake Mendocino, Sonoma Master Plan public meetings
The next Redwood Valley Fire Recovery Community meeting will be on Feb 22, at 6:30 pm, at Eagle Peak Middle School. Both Senator Mike McGuire and Congressman Jared Huffman will be there, in addition to the regulars. This is a great opportunity to have your voice heard. The agenda is not posted yet, but you will be able to view it here, when it is.
This is definitely the year to take political action! More people are riled up and dissatisfied, and will go to the polls to vote. There is still a little time left to get something going for the November 2018 ballot. What say you?
Here's some suggestions. How about passing a local measure to ban glyphosate in Mendocino County?
Or how about amending Prop 65 carcinogens to move beyond warnings to phase-outs? What ideas do you have for some quick political action on a popular local issue?
Jill Stein and the Green Party are still plugging away at 2016 recounts in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Here's a 2018 update.

"The U.S. will impose duties of as much as 30 percent on solar equipment made abroad, a move that threatens to handicap a $28 billion industry that relies on pa...rts made abroad for 80 percent of its supply. Just the mere threat of tariffs has shaken solar developers in recent months, with some hoarding panels and others stalling projects in anticipation of higher costs. The Solar Energy Industries Association has projected tens of thousands of job losses in a sector that employed 260,000."
