This sums up much of why so many voted against the "establishment" in the Presidential election.
It also points to why our work at Travelers United is so important and necessary.
Airlines are reaching a new low. Claiming transparency because they are touting how bad their service is, in order to get us to pay more to avoid the pain that they are inflicting on passengers. Real transparency might mean telling us the full price including extra fees so that we can compare prices. Real transparency might mean having honest seatmaps that allow families to sit together without thinking they have to pay extra. Real transparency would include clear explanation...s about what rules change when carriers engage in code sharing. Real transparency would mean making the airline customer service commitment easy to find on websites. I can go on. Seeing how miserably a company can treat passengers before they reach in their pockets to shell out a few extra bucks to stop the pain is despicable.
