I, again, fell asleep while reading under this awesome blanket made by my grandbee girl. I tell you,it's warm and snug! This picture window is pretty cold in winter, AND, I don't do well cold. So that should give you some idea of how warm this crocheted quilt is! I slept there ALL night!

Cornelia Wright updated her cover photo.

I came home to find this beautiful throw /blanket on my window seat that matches my pillows! Hand made by my 11 year old grandbee girl Ari DeeAnn, with a LOT of help from mommy Ronni Roseman.

It sooo soft, but quite heavy. I'll be snug as a bug! Thanks Ladybug and my beloved daughter!

I want!

I've been equipped with fabric and rope to make roman shades in my kitchen for longer than I'm willing to admit. They have matching shear fabric for the windows when they are up. This encouraged me to get back to it.

Cornelia's Creative Corner is feeling Half Awake, Half Asleep.

Sooo sleepy and I think I have this Yoga Leg Warmers design finally on its way after 4 pull-out/start overs. Kind of scared to stop because the creativity is flowing. I just keep forgetting to stop long enough to write it down! But I don't want to mess up the writing a pattern side of it that sleepy can do. Sooo ... Yeah. This is where I started. Good night.

It's been many, many, many, years since I taught myself to macrame and produced a very large hanging plant holder for a friend. These are beautiful!

Excellent article. Long and worth the knowledge.

I've been looking for a particular yarn for over a month now to match some I have for a promised Fall delivery garment. It so sad that another of my regular possible providers is leaving. They didn't have it either this time.

Hoping it's not discontinued.

My great-nephew Ethan can finally (perfectly) fit the sweat suit that I made in size 9 months. Almost missed the size & season. But thanks to Chicago's cooler weather, he'll get a wear or three out if it. It's been that kind of weather for over a week now. By the time he's 9 months, another little one will have been blessed with it.

It seems like more and more kids these days are being bullied, and it’s a growing concern for any parent who has a child in school. Bullying has, in fact, become an epidemic amongst children, and as many as 28 percent of kids in grades 6 to 12 experience it, and much of this bullying...

I don’t want my balls of yarn smelling like cigarette, pipe, campfire or (in the case of Colorado, where I live) marijuana smoke. I found a simple trick that works for me, but let me know in the comments: what techniques have you tried to remove smoke smell from yarn? ~Dana

My dad was a longtime pipe smoker. It didn’t really bother me except when he smoked in the car. He quit after 30+ years—kudos to him. Now that I’m a crafter, I’m much more concerned about smoke smells. I don’t want my balls of yarn smelling like cigarette, pipe, campfire or (in the case of …
