Here is a good ( albeit long winded ) article on what I have been saying for years now. The art of the turntable at clubs / events these days has been mostly lost. Back when they were the only tool we had to use, issues many are having today were rare at best. Also some of the steps we took back then to insure quality sound would be laughed at today by most production/sound engineers....and that's part of the problem imho
