Please mark your calendars now for our Second Saturday Book Sales at the Decatur Public Library: March 10, April 14, May 12, June 9, July 14, August 11, October 13, November 10 and December 8. The big Labor Day Book Sale will be September 2 & 3 at the Decatur Civic Center.

The people who work at the library are pleasant and helpful. If you are looking for an book, or other items, and they don't have it, because it's checked out, they will put a hold on it, and notify yo...u when it's in. If you want something the library doesn't have, they check to see if another library has it. If another library does have it they will have it sent, and notify you when they get it. See More

Raised my children and preschool, and baby talk teen parent and babies to love, appreciate and respect books, authors, and staff that mak...e reading a special gift to all who wish to take that flight if words and allow it to stir the soul, hungry for more. I am amazed at the information available in the Local History Room (LHR) at the Decatur Public Library. If you want to know the history of people or places in Macon County, you can find it in the LHR.... If you need help finding information, the LHR employees and volunteers will assist you. See More

Story time, puppets, blocks, trains and books! It was so much fun to welcome Central Christian Preschool kids to the Decatur Public Library on Wednesday!

Central Christian Preschool added 18 new photos.

Mrs. Renfro and Mrs. Coates' classes met at the Decatur Public Library for a field trip with families on Wednesday. Everyone enjoyed story time with Susan, a fabulous play time with all the cool toys and tour of the children's section.
