This video contains a small segment using a body camera; the sheriff’s office has plans to begin outfitting deputies with body cameras over the next year. Anthony Hanson age 30 of Salem was arrested yesterday at a residence near the 200 Block of County Road 6680 in Smith Subdivision. Hanson was found hiding in a bedroom closet; Hanson was wanted on several outstanding warrants from Dent and Texas County. The Dent County warrants are for Passing a Bad Check and Felony of Forcible Rape with a $250,000 cash only bond. The Forcible Rape warrant was issued in March of 2013; several attempts have been made to locate Hanson in Missouri and other states without success. Hanson is currently being held in the Texas County Jail. . The above information is just a mere accusation, and is not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of any charge must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.

On 26 March 2016, at approximately 0628 Hrs, a search warrant was executed at 701 S. Washington Salem, Dent County, MO. This is the residence of Dewanda Gamblin DOB: 03-09-1971, Danielle Griffes DOB: 09-16-1984 and Billy Morse DOB: 01-29-1982. A search of the residence revealed, numerous items of drug paraphernalia were located in Dewanda and Danielle’s bedroom. Items of note are a black zippered case with three digital scales and glass smoking device and two packages of marijuana weighing approximately 22 grams. The scale and glass smoking device field tested positive for methamphetamine. The black zippered case was located in close basket near the dresser of Dewanda. Bags of new syringes were located in Danielle and Dewanda’s bedroom. Used syringes were located in both bedrooms. As a result of the search and investigation Dewanda, Danielle and Billy were charged with two counts of: Accessory to Distribution/possession with intent to distribute each a class B felony. Dewanda’s bond has been set $100,000.00 cash only Danielle’s bond has been set at $75,000.00 cash only Billy’s bond has been set at $150,000.00 cash only The above information is just a mere accusations, and is not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of any charge must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.

*****Cody Martin in custody******

The Dent County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the public for helping to locate Cody Martin. He was found at a residence in Dent County and taken into custody without incident. Martin is currently in the Dent County Jail on burglary and stealing charges. His bond is a total of $125,000 cash only. Deputies will also be seeking charges for items on him testing positive for methamphetamine during his arrest.

The Dent County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in finding 24 year old Cody Martin of Salem. The sheriff’s office is currently investigating Martin and 23 year old Tanner Devereaux of Salem for burglaries and thefts in the Dent County area.

On 01-05-2018, deputies received information that a stolen trailer was at a residence in the 1000 block of Private Lane 335. Deputies located a 16 foot trailer, which was found to have been stolen from a farm in the 3000 block of County Road 2240. Deputies also located several other items that were stolen from Intercounty Electric trucks parked on Highway JJ on 12-29-2017.

Deputies conducted a week long investigation and suspect information was obtained. Deputies were notified that Devereaux and Martin were arrested in St. Clair County for resisting arrest earlier in the week. Devereaux has been sent to prison for violating his parole and Martin is currently out on bond.

It was discovered that several of the items in the vehicle with Martin and Devereaux at the time of their arrest were stolen from a barn on County Road 2240 on Christmas Day. Those items have been recovered by the Dent County Sheriff’s Office.

Throughout the course of this investigation, deputies were able to recover approximately $5,000 worth of items stolen from three different locations in Dent County.

The Air Force will be conducting a training exercise in Dent County from January 29th through February 2nd 2018. Airmen will be will be in different vehicles and in full uniform in all parts of Dent County. Don't be alarmed as this is a training exercise.

Travis Ivicsics is now in custody and incarcerated in the Dent County Jail. On Thursday, December 14th, Ivicscis turned himself in to the Dent County Sheriff's Office. He was being sought several failure to appear warrants.

Phelps County Sheriffs Department

On December 6, 2017, the St. Louis County Police Department arrested a wanted person out of Phelps County. Early this morning, Law Enforcement received informa...tion on Justin P. Giller’s whereabouts. They responded to the 200 block of Etta Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri. Upon arrival, Giller was located inside a vehicle near the residence. He was taken into custody and later transported to the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department.

Giller is charged with Felony Resisting/Interfering with Arrest, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Burglary tools, and Felony Stealing. His bond is $250,000.00. Giller is suspected of burglaries, felony stealing, and numerous automobile thefts, in Phelps County, Dent County, and Texas County. Additional warrants are expected after further investigation.

Sheriff Richard Lisenbe praised the work of Deputies, Detectives and other Law Enforcement, saying in a statement: “Working with other Law Enforcement agencies, we were able to pursue and take this dangerous subject off the street. His reckless behavior endangered the lives of many innocent people, and he will be held accountable.”

The charges for which Giller was arrested are merely accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.

The Dent County Sheriff's Office and several other agencies are currently looking for Justin (J.P.) Giller, 24, of Licking. If you have any information on his whereabouts or see him, contact your local law enforcement agency.

On 6 November 2017, at approximately 0652 hours, Deputies with the Dent County Sheriff's Office responded to the 6000 block of N. Hwy 19 for a report of theft and burglary from Frizzell Saw Mill. This investigation has revealed that person(s) unknown, unlawfully entered a building on the property and stole 5 chainsaws and other items totaling approximately $5,000. The victim in this case has offered a reward of $1000.00 to the person who can provide information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of the parties involved.

The Dent County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking information on the location of 32 year old Travis Ivicsics of Salem. He showed up to the Dent County Circuit Courthouse for a scheduled court appearance on Monday, but left before his hearing. While leaving, Ivicsics cut his GPS monitoring bracelet. He was not an inmate and was not in custody. Ivicsics now has numerous felony warrants for his arrest. Travis Ivicsics is now in custody and is incarcerated in the Dent County Jail.

Travis Ivicsics fled from Dent County Circuit Court on 10/23/2017 after removing his GPS monitor. Travis is not believed to be armed and dangerous but as always don’t attempt to apprehend. Contact local law enforcement. Subject was not in custody, he was appearing in court and left prior to his hearing.

On 10/18/17, Reynolds County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a shooting.
Reynolds County is investigating and there is no indication or reason to believe the two males responsible for the crimes are in Dent County. The only information that has been released for the suspects are described as white men who are believed to be driving an older model either Saturn or Cavalier type vehicle described as a blue 2 door vehicle with a black hood. Males are described as a slim build with mustache and slick hair cut and the other as a husky male.
