Cllr Bolton "chastises" Parents of special needs children for disrupting the Council Meeting last Wednesday. Perhaps an action by the Council to try and understand why the disturbance took place might have been a positive outcome...or are they just seeing the Parents as "naughty children"...to be regretted. Next Wednesday 25th Jan, 6pm, at Full Council, every single Labour Councillor will vote to close the Mad Hatter's cafe. Don't believe me? come to the public gallery, and watch, as they vote, one by one, to destroy the business of a few hard-working women in Alvaston Park. Labour working for hard-working people in Derby!!!? PLEASE SHARE: This must rank as the most churlish action by this Labour controlled Council. Two ladies have worked hard for 6 years to build up the Mad Hatter's cafe in Alvaston Park it has a regular and loyal clientele. The Council are not renewing the ÂŁ5.5k pa lease from 31 March 2017, and taking the cafe, "in house". The staff will not move across, and the customers plan to boycott it....and the expectation is that prices will go up, quality, service and opening hours will drop off...based on other experience. This cannot be a priority for the Council to disenfranchise the people of Alvaston. Why do they continue to do it?! Where is their commitment to support hard-working people? This is a disgrace!
