    OK, final mix of the new CD is complete! Jason Merritt did an awesome job. Tomorrow is mastering with Brent Lambert at The Kitchen. Then it's off for manufacturing! Can't wait for y'all to hear it!

       No gigs this coming weekend, but the following weekend is full up! On Friday, May 30 I'll be playing at Papa Mojo's Roadhouse with the Doug Prescott Band. Great Americana, blues, and whatever else we can add to the gumbo! On Saturday, May 31 I'll be playing in Eden with Trial By Fire - Journey Tribute.     OK - last week for the pre-mfg of the CD. We're finishing mixing, then mastering. Graphics also in the works. A week from today it's off to the manufacturer!

    Had another song put on hold today. What that means for those of you not in the music business, is that someone is interested in it and may pitch it to a recording artist. I know - that and $4.50 might buy me a latte (are they really that much?!!), but it's the first step. So I'm happy and excited and cautiously optimistic. That's 3 now, and one selected for a movie (not final…). So join me in crossed fingers! Thanks to everyone who has supported my music. I REALLY appreciate it.

    Busy days. Back to the studio with Tony Bowman tonight for first horn session with Eddie Blair and Eric Kulz. Mavericks show tomorrow night at Carolina Theatre. Video shoot Sunday evening with Andy Cheek, Mike Wezolowski and Maura Moscardini for the 99% Won't Do Rap Remix video.

    So I get an e-mail this morning that looks like spam. CMT Artists - an app for iPhone is featuring Doug Prescott Band. Sure I say… thinking this is a clever marketing ploy. So what the heck - I download it and do a search. Dang if it isn't true! They even have a link to the music video for "A Little O Dat," etc. Check it out!
