The current system disenfranchises members with limited funds, especially the impoverished and youth. By disproportionately representing the voices of financially privileged members it also has the likely effect of limiting the potential outcomes to those likely to be attractive to other financially privileged people, rather than drawing a diverse audience.

Instead, we advocate for the "One Member One Vote" method suggested by Trent Somes, III the Region 5 Alternate of the Libertarian National Committee, which would allow all sustaining members of the party an equal say in the convention process. The vetted themes should be put up for members of the party to vote for using their membership number listed on the back of their card.

The One Member One Vote method would give all members an equal say. We condemn the current system as classist and unequal.
