I used to spend a fair portion of my teenage years here, and whenever I visit Duluth for more than a day I take the time to hang out in the teenspace. This place has truly gotten better over the years and remains a wonderful place with great employees and atmosphere.

“Genascent: The Human Genome Project in Plain Words” By C.J. Canna
This book was written for thoughtful members of the public. Many fields brush up against this... science, finance, law, food, international relations, medicine, everything from agriculture thru zoology. It is what a logical person might want to know before using or investing in the science. The book includes … journal articles in common language… the ethical and legal questions ... funny medical research stories that tell something about the science or show something about the research environment. http://www2.xlibris.com/BOOKSTORE/bookdisplay.aspx?bookid=103784

[FYI: Print On Demand publishing is not included in the NY Times book review system.]
The author has written a trilogy of movie scripts named “Genascent: Footprints in Time” which tells the story of genetics from Gregor Mendel through 1993; “Genascent II: the Living Code” covering the start-up through the completion of the sequence; and “Genascent III: So It Is Written” showing the impact the Genome has had in fighting disease. The stories in this book could not be fit into the movies.
