Song of Solomon by Christopher Clack, who writes:
In 2013 Gillian Cargill the Photographer, documented my dog Ronnie mating with Betty another whippet. The mating took well over an hour and consisted of much play and foreplay. The remarkable photographs showed the intimacy and real relationship made between the two dogs over that time, and the experience struck me as profound. There was another pairing after this one, the event became paired in our minds with the Song of Songs, from the Bible. This new poem we hope ponders our animal natures and our relationship to the natural world, other animals and the spiritual.
