Jim Durham’s basic obedience in kennel training has not only taught my dog a lot, but me as well. With his professional and many years of experience my dog, Lila, is very well mannered to everyone she... meets. If you are looking for a trainer who is the upmost honest and faithful to you and your dog I would highly recommend Durham Kennels. If you take it upon yourself to check out the facility, you will see a facility that has been up kept and treated with care. 10/10 would recommend. See More

I am so grateful to Mr. Durham for helping with our dog Paisley. Our girl had a nickname of "Crazy Paisley" for a reason, and anyone who came to our home, or walked down the street, knew why that was ...her nickname. Unfortunately,!she had some issues that we could no longer ignore, and reached out for help. Mr. Durham listened to our situation, and we had Paisley in his in kennel training within 2 days. We noticed an immediate difference when we picked her up, and the follow up classes ensured we would continue the amazing transformation and progression of our Paisley... I am so very grateful for what Mr. Durham has done with our girl, and I ABSOLUTELY recommend him to anyone who is looking into training. He is WONDERFUL and I can't say enough about how he helped. Truly a dog whisperer, did wonders with my totally insane beagle/Aussie mix when he was about 2 years old. Got a different dog back than I dropped off! 9 years later and Riley is the most amazing ge...ntle well behaved guy you could ask for. Totally recommend Jim who truly loves dogs and the people who love them! See More

Jim has trained three of our dogs, AND my wife and myself, with excellent results. Working with Jim has been a great pleasure over the last 10 years and we continually get comments about how well beha...ved our pooches are. We highly recommend Durham Kennels for training or boarding and will continue to come here for the personal service and amazing results. See More

Thank you Jim for helping us with Dax. Durham Kennels kept a rescue dog for us when an adopter dumped him until we could arrange transport. A wonderful owner and place!

Jim is absolutely the best trainer you can get for your dog. Wouldn't trust mine with anyone. His compassion and care are unsurpassed. He trained my German shepherd. And me and my husband. I was a...mazed at the results. It made such a difference. I have had him kennel my other dogs when I had to go on business trips. Wouldn't use any other. Can't give him enough praise. Just know that he is the best. See More

We recommend this kennel. They took fabulous care of our "timid" dog Karma, for four days, at a super reasonable price. We will be taking her there again. Awesome place and people.

I could not be happier with my experience at Durham kennels. Jim is a true professional. It is readily obvious that Jim cares about the dogs. Cooper came to Jim at six months old. He completely transf...ormed him and is now rock solid on obedience. Thank you, Jim! See More

Couldn't ask for better service. They truly care about your dog.
This is Chloe, a beautiful Golden Doodle, one week into her basic obedience training. She is doing very well and really enjoys her daily workouts.
This is Walter, a 6 month old Great Dane pup (yes, he's HUGE!). He has been here for about a week and a half and is making great progress.
This beautiful Bull Mastiff is Max showing off his basic obedience commands. He'll be going home soon!

I found this beautiful girl on the way to work this morning roaming around the Meijer gas station at the Richmond Center. I work in the center and have taken he...r in where she has been loved and given plenty of food water and attention. I want to help her find her home as I am sure she is being missed. Please reach out to me if you are missing her or know someone who is missing her.

This girl has just been separated from her owner who is apparently homeless. It is absolutely heartbreaking that anyone has to be out in the cold on a night like this, man or beast. Please share.

Leaving work today I saw a homeless man and his dog shivering in the cold. I stopped to ask if there was anything I could do for him and he opened up my car doo...r, placed his dog in my arms, and said “Take care of her.” He kissed her head and said goodbye. While I don’t have room for her in my home (you all know how many critters we have 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐱🐱🐱), I know how hard that decision had to be for this man. Can you help me help this little girl? I don’t have any information on her other than her being a sweetheart. She’s currently with a foster home but she can’t stay there long. Please share and help me find her a forever home!

🐕 Madison County, KY - Please do not leave your pets outside. Temps are well below average and can be dangerous to pets over extended periods of time. If you a dog or cat shivering, they are cold and need warmth. Please do not leave a pet chained up outside to a cold dog house. Please provide adequate shelter and dry/warm bedding. Also, please make sure pets have access to unfrozen water when they are outside. Animals suffer in the cold just as we do. Please take care of them.
