The Eaton Police Division is investigating a robbery that occurred at a convenience store on February 27, 2013, at approximately 1:30am. Please watch the surveillance video below and contact us with any information you may have on the suspect. The suspect is believed to be a white male, 20-25 years old, approximately 6 feet tall with a slender build. Help us find our suspect and keep this type of crime out of our community. The City is pleased to announce that Steven Hurd was sworn in as the new Chief of Police last night. Steve started his career with the City in 1997 as an offic...er and was promoted to Sgt in 2012. With his experience, education and devotion, Steve will do an excellent job heading the Division and will continue to move the EPD in a positive direction. Congratulations Steve!

Sheriff Mike Simpson has cancelled the Level 1 snow advisory.

Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson has issued a Level 1 snow advisory for Preble County.

A Level 1 snow advisory means that roadways are snow covered and hazardous. Motorists are urged to drive very cautiously. Blowing and drifting snow may be an issue throughout the day.

It is with great appreciation that we thank our former Police Chief, Chad Depew, for his fifteen years of service to the Eaton Police Division. Chief Depew has... served as our Police Chief for almost 7 years. He has resigned to accept a position with Kettering Health Network/Grandview Medical Center Police Department. We wish him well in his new endeavors and will certainly miss him!!

Eaton Police Officers and Camden Police Officers having fun at the Eaton Walmart Coffee with a Cop event. This is a semi-annual event where area residents can interact with and get to know their local law enforcement in a social setting. Thank you to Walmart for hosting this great event. We would like to thank David Daily and Dave Kirsch for all of their years of dedicated service to the City of Eaton as City Council members. Mr. Daily and Mr. Kirsch participated in their final city council meeting and were recognized for their service at last night's meeting.

Congratulations to the three City Council members who were sworn into office at last night's meeting. Council member Brad Moore was re-elected into office and Council members Gary Wagner and Matt Venable were newly elected. Gary Wagner was subsequently elected as the new Mayor and Council member Joe Renner was elected as the Vice-Mayor.

The Fort St. Clair Whispering Christmas event officially begins tomorrow!

City of Eaton updated their status.

Beginning Dec. 1 through Dec. 24, the cabins at the Fort will be open for walk through. Santa will be there every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenin...g from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Bring your family for hot cocoa and cookies in Santa's cabin!! You don't want to miss the beautiful light displays.

The annual White Christmas parade begins at 6pm! The parade concludes with music & carols downtown in front of the courthouse. After the event you can get a sneak peek of the Whispering Christmas light displays at Fort St. Clair!
