Purchased a horse of Gina sight unseen recently as a Christmas present for my mother. We are absolutely over the moon with him. He's every thing described and more. I found Gina fantastic to deal with... - I messaged her outlining what I was looking for and she got back to me very quickly with her recommendations. She even continued to work the horse and take him on outings after he'd been purchased only upping his mileage and value. Would definitely purchase from event stars again without hesitation. See More

Bought my first sight-unseen horse from Eventstars a couple of weeks ago and she arrived exactly as described - my mum and I are absolutely in love and can't thank Gina enough for making the process e...asy and stress-free! LB is enjoying life down in the South and we are enjoying life with her. Thanks, Gina! See More

Bought my boy from Gina a few months ago now and he’s by far the coolest and most relaxed 4yo I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with! Love him to bits and there’s never a day he doesn’t make me sm...ile! Gina was very honest about him and put up with me fluffing around about transport which I really appreciate. My last horse i had to leave in Canada years ago and I didn’t think I was ready to love another horse this much. Thank you for letting me have him in my life and I can’t wait to see what he can accomplish in the coming years! See More

Could not recommend EventStars enough! Easy to deal with, honest and up front - what more could you want when buying a horse?! Max is exactly as he was described (if not better!), and having not purch...ased sight unseen before, would do it again via EventStars in a heartbeat - especially with all the nice ones they acquire! :) See More

Gina and the team at EventStars are amazing, I love my horse that I purchased from them at the beginning of the year. It is obvious that the team love there work as the horses are kind and caring too.... Would never buy a horse from anywhere else. See More

Very disappointed!!!!
Following the last auction waiting very patiently for a decision to be made on the appropriate home which is fine, a little reminder a few days later to find out what is, over a week later very little communication then find out through another source the horse has already gone to new home, just gutted there was no communication to inform the other person that a home had been selected
Still haven't been told by Gina the horse has been sold!
Really thought event stars was better than this!

Even though I haven't purchased a horse off you, I follow you intently as I envy your riders and the skills they have with the green horses. If anyone ever doubts them, they have no idea how hard OTTbs can be! 10 stars from me. See More

Super happy with my star, Gina was so easy to deal with. She went out of her way to hold on to him and make sure he was 100% after his abscess before I collected him. Will definitely come back to her for more!

First trip to new arena and first ride tonight on my Eventstars purchase (Travis) and he was exactly how Gina had described him. Obliging, quiet and a quick learner. And yes the right bend does not at all! Lol
Really excited for this ones future

I spent 3 and a half months out in NZ working for Gina at Event Stars and I can honestly say I think it is absolutely fantastic what she does. I arrived having no experience with youngsters or ex-race...horses and it's fair to say that I have been totally converted. Both Josie and Gina did everything possible to make my time there incredible. The set up is great and works really well. The horses were amazing, very happy and so adaptable. I believe Gina's openness and honesty about the horses has led to the numerous successful match ups already to date. I cannot thank Gina and Josie enough for helping me so much, I learnt loads and cannot wait to go back! I highly recommend Event Stars. See More

Gina and Justine are so professional and honest. I purchased Johnny six weeks ago now and he is the most awesome horse and has been everything and more they said he was. I would definitely recommend p...urchasing a TB off Gina any day. The whole process is so easy. If the horse doesn't sound suitable for you when you enquire about it then she won't match you with it to come and trial it. They even kept him in full work for a week for me until I was able to come and pick him up. Such lovely girls!! :) See More

I have purchased three horses all sight unseen, off Gina over the years. They are always exactly as described so you know what you are working with. I have found Gina and her team honest and profess...ional with great communication and I love that her business is driven by rehoming over money. See More

Whoops better late than never! 10/10 for Gina and Justines work with Glory!!

One of the most settled horses I've had (taking into account also he's a HongKong lad so more worldly experience than your... average TB) but the SportHorse work EventStars has put into Glory has really made him a pleasure to have around and ride, he has been given the opportunity to take things at his own pace schooling/jumping wise and this really shows in his new home :D

Gina and Justine do a great job of not rushing OTTBs in getting them ready for sale and give them the best chance to have another life outside of racing.

Gina's eye for talent is almost second to none and has been honed over the years, if it's on her Like list you know you're in for a winner!

I wouldn't hesitate at all to get another horse from Gina, very straight forward to deal with and has such quality stock coming through ready for their second chance.

I got an unraced rising 4 year old gelding from Gina, sight unseen and carrying an injury that needed rest. He arrived in great condition and settled in the paddock very quickly. I am very pleased wit...h him, a real sweetie-pie with beautiful movement. The injury seems to be responding well to rest and I can't wait to start working him in the next couple of months. Gina has been very helpful and does a fabulous job rehoming OTT! Thank you :-) See More

Fail of the week - just to show how the written word can be misinterpreted! “Tie 2 lunge leads together & lunge Kassie & Cider” - what I meant was make one huge lunge line so the old girls didn’t have to do tight circles, and lunge Kassie then Cider - what I got, was this!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Rios talents extend to babysitting as well!!! Just another cool 4yo OTT TB at his first outing (ride 2 off the track!), chilling out ringside.
2yo Darci Brahma filly

Ling & Pedro ‘racing’ - a good 5 hands difference between these 2!

Haven't tested our new Flower Skinny Mini out yet, but I'm picking that horses will clear it very well.

This gives you a bit of perspective on how big Ling (5yo warmblood by Lingh II) actually is!

Our wee jaunt up Pirongia with the super-duns, Ling (warmblood coming up for sale - mostly on video duty), and Jimmy (5yo TB by Showcasing, SOLD). It was a big hilly ride with some very tired horses at the end - so good for the fitness of the old girls and life experience for Ling (worlds best hacking warmblood!) & the young TB Jimmy, who had a blast.

Couldn’t be without Fiber Fresh Equine - New Zealand - the Protect is something all mine get and devour! A lot are fed it in racing too and it’s certainly a palatable & effective product.

Did you know that horses require a minimum of 1.5% of their body weight in forage fiber per day! For example: If your horse weighs 500kgs it needs 7.5kgs of for...age fiber (dry matter) to maintain a healthy diet. Fiber Fresh products premium, high nutritional forage fibres unlike most other forage or fibre options. Not only do they provide the best source of highly digestible protein, they are also extremely low in sugar, dust free and assist in providing better digestibility of your hard feeds when fed in the feedbowl together.

Jackie is wondering why she's been a bit neglected lately - she wants a turn (or a new home!).

We mostly walk along on the buckle but occasionally we like a spin along - though with only one TB in the mix it’s a slow spin along - and Ling chats and groans the whole time! Featuring Scott Borland - Lifestyle/Rural Consultant at PGG Wrightson Real Estate Ltd....

Crux (16.1hh-ish 5yo Buffalo Man gelding) working in the paddock - missing a front shoe. He has no concept of bend and likely could do with the dentist, but despite this shows some really good work - actually some fantastic canter work - real eventing type this one, and yes he's on the market! Hopefully getting new fronts today and ready to go!

Crux (16.1hh 5yo Buffalo Man gelding) jumping - he has some scope and that super free hind end that's hard to find or train! He's missing a front shoe so hasn't done much since - I think the tyre man is coming today to repair his flattie.

Odie (2yo Thewayyouare/Falkirk filly, unraced and untrialled - hasn't done much but was inclined to misbehave in the barriers and on the treadmill) having her first ride - she does have a wee bit of a 'ginga mare' attitude, but if you are kind to her and get her to work with you rather than picking a fight (she is only 2yo after all!) - as you can see she is a smart cookie and not a wench! She has a great trot and canter and beautiful mouth/contact - really impressive for a 2...yo. Save yourself the costs and risk of breeding and breaking in, and store this one away instead - she's beautifully marked too with those nice hind socks. Around 15.3hh, maybe 16hh at present - going to be a decent size. She's a funny character in the yards, can be wary or smoochy - I think she'll come around to being a really loyal, giving type of a mare, with the right person. $300 + GST.
