FAMA is now branded as Tri State Pet Rescue. FAMA has been a part of Tri State Pet Rescue for several years and we are dropping the FAMA name and going totally with the Tri State Pet Rescue name. Please like the Tri State Pet Rescue page to stay updated on all our activities. We appreciate your interest and support.

As all of you know, we work everyday to prevent dogs from being euthanized at Fannin Co Animal Control in Blue Ridge, GA. We are happy to let you know that the 2012 intake for Fannin Co Animal Control is once more less than the previous year!! We are especially proud of this milestone because since we began our transports in 2007, the intake number has gone down each year, 2012 being no different!! We need your support to continue saving more and preventing unwanted litters in 2013. We ARE making a difference!!

We are in need of a washer and dryer for our small sanctuary. Please message us if you can help. Donations for the purchase of washer/dryer can be mailed to Tri State Pet Rescue, PO Box 419, Blue Ridge, GA 30513. Thank you for any help you might be able to provide.

“There’s no home for them and they get put down," said Jennifer Hendershot, who took her family on the trip to rescue the dogs. "Almost all of them get put down."

Desperately seeking a foster home for a mom and newborn puppies. The puppies were born last night at Fannin Co Animal Control. Please share and let's work together to help this little family! Mom is very sweet and is about 30lbs.

The Friday after Thanksgiving was a great day for us in downtown Blue Ridge; three adoptions as a direct result of our event on Friday. Saturday was simply too cold for the dogs and the humans so we chose to cancel our adoption event for that day.

Great day in downtown Blue Ridge today. Two great adoptions! And we are very thankful for all the generous donations!! Downtown Blue Ridge rocks! Tomorrow will be too cold for the dogs and the volunteers to be outside all day so we will not be having our regular adoption event.

Transports are going again, thank goodness!! Transport yesterday to New Jersey, 19 dogs; transport next week to Washington DC; transport to our NY partners in two weeks! Now this is the way to save animals!!!

Mr. Simonds, Commission Chairman, has given us the "green light" to start soliciting for volunteers to help at Fannin Co Animal Control. If you are interested in walking dogs, greeting visitors at animal control, and/or generally improving the atmosphere at animal control, please contact FAMA/Tri State Pet Rescue at HelpHomelessDogs@yahoo.com, text 706-633-7282, or message us on facebook. This is a huge step forward for the animals at animal control. We can make a difference! This might just be the beginning of "No-Kill Fannin"!
