So.. for a day or two it seemed as though we'd be dismantling the fig walk, (frightening!) but since Irma has become less of a threat for the Savannah area we're just tie a few sections down. Whew!
So..what's next?
I'm sure I'll be in touch around February, right around the time when I'll be giving the trees a trim, and repairing the fig walk. In the meantime I'm going to get back to my studio and continue working on the art pendants I started designing! Well, it's official..the fig rust has started on the Celeste tree. The LSU fig tree is still looking good. gardenguides.com/93627-fig-tree-rust-fungus.html
Once I've finished picking in the evening, there are no words to explain how peaceful it is to just sit on my roof, smell the figs, and watch the sparrows play in the sky.
