Yep, promise everything .. Ha ha. I've spent weeks on and off visiting my mom, staying from early morning to evening. So I DO KNOW what goes on. Last week two Altzheimer residents were MAKING OUT and ...FONDLING each other on the couch without an aide/nurse in sight. Then one nurse complained my mom doesn't like her clothes washed and they don't know what to do. Well heck, they are supposed to be the experts...or so the brochure tells victims. See More

I like mom's nurses. In my opinion, the aides lack professionalism. It seems to be a "job" to them. There is no personal interaction between the aides and my mom, from what we have seen. Very disappointed.

If you ask for something to be repaired, or why something does not work the answer is always tomorrow.
Food is mostly high sodium, re-heated commissary.
Services are just O.K. for 3-4K per month plus buy in.

In my 22yrs of nursing ..this is my favorite place to work...we treat our residents like they are our family.

I've visited First Community Village several times and I'm always amazed at how beautiful this facility is. Without a doubt it's one of the best the Columbus area has to offer.
