TAX CENTER GRAND OPENING SET

The grand opening of the Fort Hood Tax Center is set for 10 a.m., Jan. 22.

The tax center is located in Bldg. 13, on 52nd Street between Support Avenue and 761st Tank Battalion Avenue, adjacent to the III Corps and Fort Hood Headquarters.

...

Last year, the tax center completed 6,065 federal returns and 374 state returns, resulting in refunds of $11,474,497 and saving our clients tax preparation fees in the amount of $1,012,326.

“Our goal is to increase those numbers this year,” said CPT John Danyluk, the tax center’s officer-in-charge, who added that 46 Soldiers and two civilians will man the tax center. Those Soldiers, all on special duty during tax season, come from the 1st Cavalry Division, 36th Engineer Brigade, 13th Expeditionary Sustainment Command and the 1st Medical Brigade.

The hours of operation will be 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. On Thursdays, the tax center is open until 7 p.m. Assistance with both state and federal income tax returns is provided.

We will begin scheduling appointments for the week of 22 Jan on Thu, 18 Jan @ 0930. To schedule an appointment, call (254) 287-3294. For more information, the office number for the tax center is (254) 288-7995."
