I am in my second term at Fortis in the practical nursing program. I am a (very) non-traditional student—returning to college at age 47 chasing a lifelong dream to be a nurse. I could not be happier a...t our little school! Our classes are very rigorous and preparing us well, and our teachers are so helpful and caring. As long as we do OUR part, they do their part and then some to help us succeed....any time I have asked for help, I have gotten it. Mrs. Lyons, Mrs. Lafferty, and Mr. Powell have been amazing! I’m so thankful to have selected Fortis to help me reach my goals and dreams! See More

I am a double alumni from here with an ASB in computer programming and an ASB in digital graphic design, valedictorian of 2014/2015 and a former assistant IT administrator of Fortis Institute of Erie.... The instructors are top-notch with the knowledge to help anyone to succeed. What separates them and the bigger universities is that here at Fortis, you get one-on-one training and it is virtually personalized to help you learn and move forward with a rewarding career. I wouldn't have wanted to go anywhere else! See More

My experience at Fortis was beyond what I was expecting! The nursing program was definitely tough, but no matter how much I struggled, the instructors made sure that I stayed on track & that I reached... my goal. They are very personable and definitely care about their students! Whether you are struggling with school life or home life they are there to help you find a solution. I am 2 months post graduation & I passed my NCLEX on my first try (as well as my other classmates!) And I also landed the job that I wanted. I'm very happy that I chose to go to Fortis! See More

My time at fortis was such a wonderful experience. I graduated in December from the nursing program. This was NOT an easy course. It will challenge you. However, it is so worth it! The instructor...s and Director of Nursing make you feel at home. They know when to push you when you need it the most, and they help you in every aspect. With in 3 weeks of graduating, I passed my boards (the first time), and was immediately hired as an LPN for the express care. I love my job, and I have confidence in what I do because of the training I received at Fortis Institute. The best part is, even after graduation the instructors still check in to see how we all are doing. I made amazing memories, and friends to last me a life time. I am beyond pleased with my experience at Fortis Institute, and would recommend this campus to any one who wants to further their education. Especially in the Practical Nursing program! See More

I've just started here, but the teachers genuinely care about teaching you and making sure everything works for you, and the school does everything that it can (above and beyond) to make sure that eve...n if you're financially challenged, you have all of the supplies you need. Extremely helpful and supportive staff, very respectful of everyone, and caters to its students needs, both educationally and emotionally, if needed.

Will be updating reviews throughout the experience.

I have served as the Campus President of Fortis Institute in Erie, PA since February 2013. I have been an Educator since 1996...which was the year of my retirement from active duty in the United State...s Army as a Lieutenant Colonel. I enjoy being part of making the act of learning into the art of self-discovery for each of our students here on the banks of Lake Erie. See More
