I was at one of the first ones in with my parents. The food was homemade yes not as big but was very good. It was more of a German festival As I grew older I came with other people and girlfrien...ds and would teach them to polka had a great time
This year I came with my wife and a couple friends and I was extremely disappointed !! There was no longer the German food just basically hotdog some pulled pork The polka band was a joke the country/ Rock band was good
Whoever is in charge of this event needs to decide if they were going to have a bar or a German festival and do one or the other
Through the years I have probably been to 15 to 20 this was the worst one and I really hate to say that but it was

The guys telling you where to park are very rude. Was trying to ask a question and instead of listening he just yelled and said to go park. Don't think I'd visit again.

I have had inquiries as to the winner of the raffle. A young man named Jacob Allman of Starke City was the winner. This 14 year old purchased his ticket at the Walmart Store. His picture should be in the Monett Time.

The time has arrived. It will kick off tonight with Family Night with children entertainment and concessions. The Bier Gardens will not be open. Friday night starts the festival with German Bands, traditional German food, children entertainment, Bingo, etc. Visit our webiste www.erntefest.org to review the flyers on times and events.
Look forward to seein you there.
