Thanks to the wonderful partnership between the City of Battle Creek and the Woodland Park and Nature Preserve there are now trail signs to guide your way thru the park. Thank you.

IMO clearly the best park in the city. Doable in an hour or so, three distinctly different environments. Reasonably easy terrain. Unspoiled by well-meaning bureaucrats and wealthy donors who would p...ave/"improve" the park into a sterile shadow of its natural setting. (Update 11 25 16: pavement IS coming to Woodland "Preserve" I have learned. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.)
I walk a lot in the county & nearby. Trust me, Woodland Park is blessed by accessibility, wonderful vegetation, terrain and water features like no other. Enjoy!

A beautiful place in any season; A great place to film or be filmed; Run, walk, hike and snowshoe. A place where dreams can be dreamed, visions seen and memories created. Many good things on the hori...zon for Woodland Park and the people who visit! See More

I am visiting my hometown of Hancock, in the U.P., for a few days. I took this picture in a small park in town. We had a white Christmas here too! I hope you all are enjoying the holiday season. Have a safe, happy and healthy new year! Be sure to enjoy the outdoors in ALL seasons!

Be safe in the “wintery” weather today, everyone!
