- I'll be playing Sunday July 20th at 10am. If I can get there by 10 from Toronto, you can get there by 10 from your bed.
- Three things this week: Tonight at the TRANZAC (9:30) I'll be playing slide guitar for Local 164. Friday night at Factory163 in Stratford (10:00), I'll be in the band doing who knows what for Anna Atkinson, along with Michael McClennan, Ian Harper, and Graham Hargrove. And Saturday, back at the TRANZAC at 7:30 doing a joint show with Anna and Michael. Hope to see you out!

Hi all
Another beautiful day. I'm having the snow tire taken off the unicycle. Too soon?
This Saturday, Anna, Michael and I are repeating a show we gave at Foster's in Stratford in February. Well, repeating may be the wrong word, as I've ...misplaced the set list. "A curated critical approach to the idea of performance in an ever changing landscape of media uncertainty" probably gives us a little more flexibility. But we will be singing and playing and generally carrying on with tunes written either by Anna or myself (or someone else), depending.

Michael and I, with Ian Harper and Graham Hargrove, will have played with Anna for her second SpringWorks show in Stratford the night before, so we'll be rehearsed.
I was thrilled last month to be asked by Brent Carver to take part in an NFB short directed by Tim Southam celebrating his Governor General's Performing Arts Awards Lifetime Achievement Award. Part of the film is a beautiful arrangement by Stephen Woodjetts of "All Through The Night", which Brent has been singing in the cabaret concerts he has been giving recently assisted by Laura Burton, Anna, and myself. If you don't know Brent, this film is a good introduction. He is unique in his astonishing ability to perform in the moment; both sound and image recorded live last month in the Distillery District.
Moving from the sublime to the ridiculous, I myself will be acting (Lane and Merriman) this summer in the Guild Festival Theatre production of "The Importance Of Being Earnest". My first professional non-musical (as distinct from unmusical - no claims there) theatre gig. Details and general hilarity to follow.
Those of you who have been on this list for a while know that I periodically try to add people to it, generally without success. If you are receiving this for the first time you will be pleased to learn that you can be unsubscribed from this list by spitting on the ground and running widdershins three times around the nearest non-decommissioned church.
