Sometimes, When I see posts on Facebook, I wonder what the purpose or intent is behind them.
Are they True or Fiction? Do I Agree or Not? Just like the myriad of thoughts and imaginations we have throughout the day - we must be MINDFUL of what we are choosing to think and say and do. The devil's purpose is to thwart the plans of God for you. He accomplishes this only by influencing your thoughts and imaginations - then it is YOU who decides what to beli...

Areas of concern are that we should not be overtaken by the cares of this life, we should maintain a positive and cheerful attitude, we should trust in God for all things - nothing is too big for Him to handle; and we should have a healthy self awareness - but not be prideful. We need to know that we should not be emotion driven - allowing circumstances or situations to rule us; w...e are not victims - we are victors - in Christ.
We should always be mindful of the ability and provision of God - no matter what or who comes against us. God's Word is always our reality - no matter what facts and evidence appear real in the natural realm - Faith Always Wins - the spiritual trumps the natural.
Blame, excuses, 'can't's' and negative failure-consciousness is a hindrance... As Christians we have the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead; Nothing is Impossible with God; All things are possible thru Christ who strengthens us; ...on and on - the scriptures admonish us to success and happiness in this life and the promised future glory...
Change starts on the inside...
We look to God to help us become what He wants us to be, do what He wants us to do, and have what He wants us to have.
We Trust Him, Rely on Him, Honor, Praise, Glorify and give Thanks to Him.
The more we focus on Him and not allow the things of this earth to distract us - to take our focus - then, we walk in victory and overcome.
Simple, but not always easy.
You can do it !
... Get a Grip and be Mindful of God and His Word = the Real Reality!

James 1:19-20 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt got tired of smiling that big smile and saying all the usual things at those White House receptions. So, one evening he decided to find out whether anybody was paying attention to what he was saying. As each person came up to him with extended hand, he flashed his big smile an...d said, "I murdered my grandmother this morning." People would automatically respond with comments such as "How lovely." or "Continue on with your great work." Nobody listened to what he was saying, except for one foreign diplomat. When the president said, "I murdered my grandmother this morning," the diplomat responded softly, "I'm sure she had it coming to her.

"It's a funny story, but how often do we do the same? It seems that we have lot's to say but we are not very good at listening. Think about it -- how many language, speech and speaking courses can you find in your college course book? But can you find even one class on listening?? There is such a lack of good listening skills in this day and age that we have to pay someone a lot of money just to listen to us! More importantly, God has many things He desires to reveal to us -- but we're always talking, talking, talking!

...let's strive to do less talking and more listening today. Let's give the Lord and others a chance to be heard.

Not everything posted on Facebook in the name of Jesus is uplifting or scriptural.... In fact, there is much that is done in the name of Christ that has nothing to do with godliness or the true character of our Lord.
Such is this recent post on Grief... and while this may be true for some, (certainly most of the un-saved); I don't think it is an accurate representation of grief for those who have knowledge of eternal life in Christ.
In fact, it really disturbs me when the ...

When God Engraved Your Name by Max Lucado •
A person doesn’t have to be a golf fan to empathize with Adam Scott. With four holes to go he had a four shot in the British Open. Four shots! Par the final quartet of holes and the trophy was his. Might as well have told him to chew gum. He could par these holes in his sleep. Everyone knew the tournament was his. A craftsman in a nearby workshop began sketching the name Adam Scott on the winner’s medal.

But disaster struck. Missed putts. Wayward shots. The next thing he knew, he was scrambling to make a ten-foot putt to force a playoff. He missed it. “Wow,” he mouthed, chin trembling.

The most poignant moment of the collapse might have been the camera shot of the engraver as he was given the news. He stopped his work and, gulp, erased Adam Scott’s name from the first place medal.

Viewers offered a collective groan.

Many Christians can relate. We fear the same will happen to us. We fear the fatal stumble, the ultimate collapse. Might we fall so utterly that God will erase our name?

No, he won’t.

Jesus couldn’t be more emphatic. “And I shall give them eternal life, and they shall never lose it or perish throughout the ages. [To all eternity they shall never by any means be destroyed.] And no one is able to snatch them out of My hand” (John 10:28 AMP).

Jesus promised a new life that cannot be forfeited or terminated. “Whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned: he has crossed over from death to life” (John 5:24 NIV).

Unlike the medal engraver, Jesus has an eternal perspective. He knew every step of your life before you took the first one. He saw the bogies and the birdies, the strong days and bad ones. He made His choice. When you said “yes” to him, he entered your name into the eternal populace of heaven. Your name is “engraved on the palms of his hands.” (Is.49:16 )

Finish well. But, if you stumble along the way, don’t worry, Jesus doesn’t use an eraser.

Forgiven - DONE - Once and for all... by the finished Work of Jesus Christ. Under the New Covenant of Grace (instead of the Old Covenant of the Law); we have been forgiven - of all sins, past, present and future. Once we have come into agreement with that - we no longer need to confess and ask for forgiveness. We do not ask for what we already have.
We are in right standing with God - because we have the Righteousness of Christ - it is no longer by our works or obedience to ...the Law. You either have it or you don't.
If our righteousness or forgiveness were based on our confessing any and all sin - which could include not only the 10 commandments, the >600 Levitical laws, but anything that is not of faith = sin. Not just disobedience, but also any lack of obedience. That would be never ending and you probably would not even remember every single thing that would or could be considered 'sin' - when in fact - the very act of 'sin-consciousness' or putting yourself 'under' the Law IS SIN.
If you accept what Christ has done for you, that you are forgiven and have been made righteous, then you ARE. Simple.
The accuser seeks to torment and keep you in bondage to the Law which is the ministration of death.
Jesus Christ has set you free - and you are free indeed. No struggle - just accept it. Rest in your forgiveness! Thank the Lord for it every day - don't doubt it or speak against it by asking Him for what you are already trusting Him for.
Repentance means to change - and it's never too late to do that!
If you don't trust Jesus for your salvation and forgiveness - CHANGE!

Oh, how sweet the light of day,
And how wonderful to live in the sunshine!
Even if you live a long time, don’t take a single day for granted.
Take delight in each light-filled hour,
Remembering that there will also be many dark days...
And that most of what comes your way is smoke. Eccl 11:7-8 (MSG)

Just a thought on living life...
It's not the trip, nor the destination,
but the condition of the heart that matters most.

Pondering a little boy's life in a movie I watched recently - 'St Vincent'... Oliver-12 yr old boy (Jaeden Lieberher, his mother (Melissa McCarthy) and his neighbor Vincent (Bill Murray)...
he lives a problematic rough life - kinda normal
with challenges, hard times, disappointments, sadness, and ultimately overcomes
not everything goes his way, but he maintains an attitude of forgiveness and love throughout
and that in turn brings out something special in those whose lives his touches
he affects the atmosphere - his love affects the DNA around him
he courageously stands up to the bully - stands his ground against the unjust
he loves his neighbor as himself
he does not respond to the harsh actions and words of that neighbor - but reads between the lines to find the great man inside,; he doesn't treat him as he deserves to be treated
he looks for and sees the man he should be

(the movie is coarse and is NOT meant as a recommendation)

but, I do recommend that you read Ecclesiastes 9 - 11 in the Message translation!!

being Sick or being Well ?
...having Sickness Consciousness or Wellness Consciousness ?
Broken & Afflicted or Whole & Healthy
As I compiled a picture for illustration, I realized we are often conditioned with afflicted thinking early on (noting dolls and games revolving around doctors, medicine, etc.).
Commercials for Medicines, Drugs, Treatments, and Therapies abound (along with the myriad of awful side affects). Advertisements for doctors, hospitals and tr...eatment centers are prolific, as well as medical/health insurance - which is mandatory.
I found images depicted around health mostly related to exercise and diet. Mental and Emotional health also are a part. Yoga and meditation are extremely popular.
When looking for answers to life's challenges - especially those related to health and well-being, it would be wise to check with the manufacturer's guide - the Holy Bible.
Proverbs 18:9 says - ...that you should use every endeavor to heal yourself... if that means medicine, surgery, doctors, treatment, chiropractic care, naturopathic care, prayer, faith...then use the tools - ultimately asking God to lead you and depending on Him for your life and well being. Put your trust in God and His provision.
If you get the truth of God in your mind and heart, you will be able to stand on His promises for life and health. The creator wants us to live a long abundant healthy life, and has made provision and plans for that! Our part is to believe and receive.
So, in essence - we need to have a wellness mentality or consciousness, instead of one focused on being sick or infirm, revolved around 'I can'ts' - because of limitations; rather than 'I can's' because of the knowledge and assurance of all that Jesus provided in His finished work... We can however, have a say in how we choose to think.
As a born-again Spirit filled Christian BELIEVER - we should utilize the tools in our arsenal to become and remain well, healthy, able and living the life in God's purpose. A life revolved around medications, doctors, medical tests and reports, is not God's best for us. We can exercise our faith and grow to a place of relying on Him. We need to get our minds set on life and well being, focused on the Lord and the Truth of His Word.
There is so much available in the way of Biblical teaching on healing... again the Holy Spirit will guide you and help is His purpose and intention, and Jesus has paid the price, He has redeemed us from every curse, every oppression and affliction, and by His stripes we were healed.
Don't give up... Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Lord, we may not understand everything You have done for us, or how You have done it. But, we know You love us and sent Jesus to die for us, and that is all we need to know.

There are things of God that are a mystery, and yet He has done so much to make His plans and will for us clear... contained in 66 books of the Old and New Testament, along with coming in the flesh as the Son to redeem all mankind, leaving an indelible mark and the Precious Holy Spirit to reside inside if... every believer, to lead and guide... it should be pretty clear to us what He is all about, what His intentions are for us all, etc... ...and yet, even with all that - we stumble around, sometimes pretty foolishly, when it isn't really necessary.

Atheist Encounter
Ask an atheist and they will tell you they do not believe in something there is no proof of. How do you prove God exists? What is the proof?
I went to a local street arts and crafts fair this summer and encountered an 'Atheist' booth, with a nice couple touting the information on Atheism. I stopped and chatted with the woman who was warm and charming. She told me she had started the oldest Atheist group in the US in 1970. I perused her literature as she talked and she so enjoyed our chat she invited me to come to her regular Atheist meetings nearby. Our chat was brief and interrupted by others moving along the street and stopping to talk to her also, so I moved along thinking about our talk - she had acknowledged her husband of many years by her side, and I thought - "Wow, it seems as though she knows and understands the reality of LOVE in her life. And God being Love, she really does know God... she just doesn't realize that God IS Love."
By the time I got around the end of the street and started up the other side of the tents and booths, I noticed 2 church booths side by side on the thoroughfare. I approached the first and I asked if they had noticed the Atheist booth on the other side? They sure had! They said they couldn't wait to get over there and let them have it! They had their info prepared and were getting ready to go soon, armed with tracts and Bibles to set them straight!! Sic 'em!
That's not how it works! That's not how any of this works!!

Kind of made me think, it's no wonder there are atheists! I think that allot of Christians, while well meaning - sometimes give the wrong image of God, behaving harshly, in judgment and condemnation - rather than showing the Love of God that we should present to them and compel them with.

Col 2:2-3 (NKJV) that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Ok, the BEST Gift Ever is of course - JESUS! ...right now, I think the second best gift is GRACE!!! I am so grateful for it every day and NEED it every day!!! Jesus and Grace go hand in hand - you can't really have one without the other - they are one in the same. The Word says in John 1:17 that the Law came by Moses, but Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ. Next to Jesus, Grace has the most change in my life, and continues to work in me.... it!!! And so thankful to have come to know that I am no longer under the Law; but, I have been set free by Grace - to walk in and enjoy the fullness of the Life Jesus paid the price to provide for me!
So sad, that there are those who not only reject this gift - but fear or even have hostility towards it, or anger and hatred?? Satan perverts the truth - (guess that's his job) seems one of his recent weapons is this attack on GRACE.... which is just another packaging of his attack on Jesus.

Are Christians truly a holy people, or are we trying to become a holy people?... As an oak sapling grows, it doesn’t get any ‘oakier.’ Oak is oak. It simply matures into what it is, a full-grown oak tree…
It’s not a ‘from-to’ situation with us. We are a holy people. Now let’s get on with acting like who we are.
~Bill Gillham, Lifetime Guarantee

...some think we are in a great transition - not even saved until the end... or even, that we are still sinners - waiting until we re...ceive sainthood?
The moment we are saved - we are changed = a new creation... we are complete in Christ - fully saved, fully forgiven, fully holy and righteous because we are in Christ Jesus!!!
We grow, learn and are transformed by the renewing of our minds through God's Word - into the mature man or woman of God we are meant to be.
The new birth is like the caterpillar changed into the butterfly... fully formed and never the same!!

The Grand Canyon of God’s love

GRACE - Is It Really Amazing? GRACE has gotten a bad reputation lately, and very unjustly. Isn't it AMAZING?
In 30 years of my Christian walk I have never been more right in my walk with the Lord, than I have since realizing and accepting the radical GRACE message of the Gospel of the New Covenant. Many years were wasted on trying to serve in the letter of the Law - which is exactly the wor...

Yes, I am! ...Why?
Complete justification for the believer who believes in Jesus!
The curse was silenced when Jesus said, "It is finished!"
That's the reason we can be forgiven completely - past, present. future...That's the reason we are righteous!
God's justice demands nothing short of complete justification for anyone who believes in Jesus!...
And the devil comes to attack that... he's lying!
No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord. Isa 54:17
...not because we are guilt free or completely sin free - but because we are clothed in His righteousness!!

Blog for Jesus is feeling sad.

Ok... this is sad (to me). I'm halfway watchin TV today, as I leave Christian programs on all day... I look up and see a man I half recognized - he's pretty popular preacher and book writer. He tells a story about courting his wife, whom he was dating, but she was not responding (he said she was slow if you know what I mean) so to boost their relationship - he made a plan and took her to a scary roller coaster ride and by the end of the ride she was close to him (where he had... hoped she'd be). He said that he knew if he created a little distress for her - she'd move closer to him. ...and...
teaching from Jer 29:11-14 he said this is how God does us - He brings a little distress on us so we will get closer to Him... REALLY?? Scare and FEAR tactics by our Lord?
That is no way for anyone to treat anyone... let alone say God does that... He reaches out to us in Love and that is the method we are to use to bring people closer to us and ultimately lead them to God - by Love.
The Word says that the GOODNESS of GOD leads us to repentance Rom 2:4.
and we should not blame God for anything the devil brings into our life!!! ...that is so unjust to falsify the attributes of God... sad, ...really sad. — feeling sad.
