Utterly gutted to hear the news of Anthony Lycenko's death. Anthony produced our first EP "Blueprint for Courageous Action" and album "History of Warfare", and has probably influenced our sound more than we have ever cared to acknowledge. Dreams dashed of a reunion for another crack.
Here's to you Chenks.
Brisbane's favourite nerdy genre-hopping riff canoes Giants of Science are performing their annual gig at Dead of Winter Festival 2017, headlining the Beergarden Stage. Tickets are selling fast for the event so run don't walk to Oztix and grab some now.. there are 50 bands playing over five different stages including our old mates Some Jerks, Tai Sui, The Meanies and many many more. Hope you can all make it, we've been rehearsing hard. Well we have had one rehearsal and we have one more. That's increasingly hard.
Hey so, we're doing our annual show at the Dead of Winter Festival alongside The Bennies, The Meanies, Whoretopsy, Sabrina Lawrie, Some Jerks, FAT, La Bastard, Hollow AND Hollow World and HEAPS MORE. We are going to rock intently! Back and forth! After the show! Clutching our ears! And our stomachs! Anyway, you should come, July 29th in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
Any Giants fans recognise the riff in this teaser?! Nickelback circa 1998? Or perhaps its Human Clay era Creed? Irregardlessless, BACK THIS FILM! and maybe, just maybe you might hear get to hear some of our sweet back catalogue put to sweet celluloid (or sweet mpg or mov or whatevss).
Written and produced by Jordan Lynagh, brother to Giants' very own Steve Lynagh, who assures us all that genius does in fact run in the family
Free entry! Drink specials! Prizes for best halloween costume!
OOOOHHHH AHHHH NEXT FRIDAY SPORTZ.
