We used to come here fairly frequently, but haven’t been back in 5-6 months. We decided to go on a Friday night. Made reservation for 6:30, arrived on time, and we were seated promptly. There were ...maybe 5 people seated at the bar, and maybe 3 tables of diners on the upper level. We were seated on the lower level against the wall, right next to a table of 4 on the upper level. My partner’s seat was in the middle of the stairway leading up to the upper level. No big deal, but the whole bottom level was empty. We were halfway through our meal when another couple came in and was seated right next to us....literally, a foot away....again, the rest of the lower level was empty. Meanwhile, the table of 4 next to us on the upper level left and 4 others took their place. The server repeatedly squeezed past my partner’s chair... up and down the stairs...waiting on this table. Just very odd, and very uncomfortable. The food was good, the calamari seemed almost stale, but we ate it!The fig pizza is amazing, and the presentation of all food is excellent. We like Gigi’s, and we like to see them busy and doing well, but we will be in no hurry to return. if it had been a busy night, it’s understandable that we’d be seated in close quarters, but it was not busy, and we do not enjoy sitting a foot away from other diners while the rest of the place is empty. What a fun night!

My husband I had a gift certificate to use and were looking to get out and enjoy the beautiful evening....

We made a reservation for 7 and arrived on time. We opted to wait at the bar for a table for 2 to open up. I had a Lemon Drop martini and my husband had Big Ditch's brown ale - both were delicious.

There was a live music performer singing the favorites and standards and it was very relaxing and enjoyable.

After about 15-20 minutes we were seated by Brian, the host. Our waters were filled and our server Kim promptly arrived to take our orders and bring back some bread.

We shared the bread while we waited for our appetizer. It seemed like there was a perfect amount of time in between courses and the staff was very attentive to allow us to enjoy the food but were swift in refilling water and removing used dinnerware.

We enjoyed a perfectly portioned serving of calamari while we waited for our entrees. The singing continued and the crowd was very pleased with the performer. He took a few requests, and offered a couple anniversary wishes as well. It was lovely.

Our salads arrived and were perfect. My husband had the house salad and I chose the pear / Gorgonzola. Again the size and presentation was exactly as the menu described.

I ordered shrimp scampi and my husband ordered chicken parm and we finished both. Normally we'd have felt way too full but again, the time in between courses was ample to allow room for everything we ordered.

Kim was so pleasant and friendly. We shared some small talk and learned she is getting married next year. She was such a delight! But we also noticed a very lighthearted and happy atmosphere. Couples were at the bar singing, friends were singing as well, and some folks were dancing along to the music.

It was not our first time here but our experiences have always been friendly, delicious and fun. The service here is consistent and the food is delicious. Gigi's - you do a great job at everything! See you again soon!

Went for the St. Joseph's Table tonight. Everything was outstanding! They even pulled off the tricky stuff - the Calamari, mussels, and baked fish were all cooked perfectly - nothing overdone and ch...ewy! All the salads were as good as Grandma's and the desserts were incredible. I'll definitely trying their regular dinner menu. Not just a neighborhood gem but worth a drive. See More

Very disappointed. Arrived on time for 7:15
Reservation and told by hostess they would let us know when our table for 4 would be ready. At 7:50 we were seated after having to ask when we might be se...ated. Hostess left menus and brought water and bread. By 8:35 a waiter had not even approached our group. After having to flag down the hostess to as if there would be a waiter available. We sat for another few minutes then decided to leave. Amazing as we all began standing up a waiter suddenly appeared. We then left. Standing outside discussing where to go a couple came out talking loudly about a long wait as well. Having only 2 waiters working and one bus person was ridiculous! We wound up going to Orazio's for a excellent meal and service. See More

Food was mediocre for the price and service was so very slow. I've worked in restaurants for most of my life so I'm very understanding when it comes to serving the public. 25
minutes from taking our d...rink order to take our dinner order when you only have 1 other table is unacceptable. The food took another 45 minutes with only 4 other guests in the restaurant! We were all hoping the food would be worth our patience but it just wasn't. There are many other authentic Italian restaurants in the area that I would suggest over ever going here again. See More

Great dinner tonight at Gigi's! Loved the warm, friendly atmosphere when we arrived. Brian made us delicious drinks at the bar, and Lauren was friendly, informative and efficient as our server. Our pa...rty of 6 loved everything about our dinner -- the fig pizza appetizer, the warm bread assortment, the salad that was included with our entrees, as well as the entrees themselves -- everything was spectacular. Chef and owner MaryAnn came out to be sure we were all enjoying ourselves, and we were! The meal was topped off with their delicious house made limoncello. Amazing, the best ever! Top notch food and service at an affordable price. We will be back, and will spread the word about this wonderful place! See More

I think it was just ok, I think for the amount of money and quantity of the food it was over priced.
I don't think I'll be back, anytime soon there are so many places, I like beter for the mediocre at best. MG E. Amherst See More
