Just took over a new batch of books to our Maple City satellite, at the MC Health and Fitness Center. There are over 300 great titles to choose from, including quite a few recently-published novels, and a nice assortment of kid's picture books. Borrow as many as you'd like, and return them whenever you're finished.

The 2018 Michigan Notable Books have just been announced by the Library of Michigan. Great picks, as always! We have some of these in our collection already (check our catalog), and will be ordering more. We'll also be applying to host a notable author on the upcoming state-wide tour.

Over 200 new children's books were donated for our Holiday Book Drive, bringing a little extra holiday cheer to some very deserving young readers in our community. Thanks to the Friends of the Library for their sponsorship of this rewarding program, and to Lynn Becker, especially, for leading the way. Thanks also to Sue Boucher, of the Cottage Book Shop, and Kathy Bartell of Parenting Communities at Glen Lake Schools, for their support.

Books are always in season - treat yourself to one (or more) today!

As the season for gifts comes around, I have a simple rule of thumb: when in doubt, give ...

Please note that the presentation we had scheduled for this evening - Intro to Essential Oils, with Sole Wright - has been cancelled because of severe weather and hazardous driving conditions. We hope to reschedule Sole's talk for a later date. Stay tuned.... and warm!
