Eighty-one-years and a day – Alex & Gordy Bunch – 04.0...8.18

Fishing poles and sunny days
Cold beer in a Texas haze,
Catfish always on my mind.

Blue Bell, vanilla please
Brisket and Freddy’s Beans
Makes everything alright.

Eighty-one-years and a day
Look at the memories we’ve made
Don’t you be crying
Not like I’m dyin’
Just goin’ home.

And when it’s all said and done
Was a whole hell lotta fun
Wanna see you smilin’
Hey look, I’m flyin’
On my way home.

Two girls and a lovin’ wife,
Chicken coop and the wild life,
I couldn’t wait to get home.

The girls got married then,
Two of the finest men,
Now everything’s gonna be alright.

Eighty-one-years and a day
Look at the memories we’ve made
Don’t you be crying
Not like I’m dyin’
Just goin’ home.

And when it’s all said and done
Was a whole hell lotta fun
Wanna see you smilin’
Hey look, I’m flyin’
On my way home.

Sunsets and Bar-B-Ques,
All the friends that shared my booze,
I’ve had the time of my life.

Grandkids and joyful noise
Man how I love them boys
You are my joy, you are my pride.

Eighty-one-years and a day
Millions of memories we’ve made
I wouldn’t change a thing
Life’s been a dream
I’m headed home.

And when it’s all said and done
Was a whole hell lotta fun
I wanna see you smilin’
Hey look, I’m flyin’
On my way home.

You keep on smilin’
And I’ll keep on flyin’
I’m going home.
