Still wondering what to do for Lent?? How about Paying It Forward, by helping out the Moms, babies and elderly of Hampton Roads by making a monthly pledge of just $5 or $10 a month? It may not seem like much but every $1 helps to supply more diapers to the most vulnerable of our area. We know you want to be a part of this service and this is really a very real and simple way you can help.
Hi Everyone we are looking for individuals and businesses to pledge to help the babies and elderly of Hampton Roads by going to our website and pledging a month...ly contribution of $5 or $10 a month. That could mean 1 or 2 less starbucks a month for you verses 25 to 50 more diapers for them. Our goal is 100 new pledges during Lent. Can you help us out? www.ghrdiaperbank.org

To all you wonderful Moms and Grandmoms
To the mom hiding in her bathroom, needing peace for just one minute, as the tears roll down her cheeks..
To the mom who is so tired she feel likes she can't fu...nction anymore and would do anything to lay down and get the rest she needs...
To the mom sitting in her car, alone, stuffing food in her face because she doesn’t want anyone else to see or know she eats that stuff…
To the mom crying on the couch after she yelled at her kids for something little and is now feeling guilty and like she is unworthy…
To the mom that is trying desperately to put those old jeans on because all she really wants is to look in the mirror and feel good about herself…
To the mom that doesn’t want to leave the house because life is just too much to handle right now…
To the mom that is calling out for pizza again because dinner just didn’t happen the way she wanted it to…
To the mom that feels alone, whether in a room by herself or standing in a crowd...
You are enough.
You are important.
You are worthy.
This is a phase of life for us. This is a really really hard, challenging, crazy phase of life.
In the end it will all be worth it. But for now it’s hard. And it's hard for so many of us in many different ways. We don't always talk about it, but it's hard and it's not just you.
You are enough.
You are doing your best.
Those little eyes that look up at you - they think you are perfect. They think you are more than enough.
Those little hands that reach out to hold you - they think you are the strongest. They think you can conquer the world.
Those little mouths eating the food you gave them - they think that you are the best because their bellies are full.
Those little hearts that reach out to touch yours - they don’t want anything more. They just want you.
Because you are enough. You are more than enough, mama.
You. Are. Amazing.

Another Thank you to Elizabeth of VB. She reached out to donate 5 1/2 cases of adult diapers that we will be picking up today. Thank you Elizabeth for reaching out to us to help others
Todays thank you goes out to Danielle of Newport News, Jennifer of Virginia Beach and the anonymous donor who dropped off the diapers and other baby items at New Creation. All of these folks, took the time out of their day to think of us and donate diapers or other baby items to our cause this week. Every diaper we receive is a change a baby or adult would not otherwise have had. Be a part of the solution and donate diapers or dollars.
Here are some great tips from Lacey Bauer of Hampton Roads Doulas on what to say and not say to a new mom. Lacey and her staff are the one ones who host the annual NO CHILD WET BEHIND 5 K for us each year. They have been a tremendous support
Happy Valentines day to all of the Moms and Dads and Grandma's and Grandpas out there who are raising their children in these tough times. This day is all about Love of others as Christ Loved us. We sacrifice for our children and grandchildren and we are truly blessed by each of them. Give them all a special Hug and tell them how much you love them
A BIG BIG THANK YOU to Bruce Johnson, Nate and George of Love Unlimited for their help in moving our diapers from one warehouse to another yesterday in the cold and rain. Since we only have a Pallet Jack, which we are happy to be able to use thanks to Shana and Bryan, we could only move about 8 pallets at a time since we couldn't stack them on top of each other, so it took 3 trips back and forth. However, they did it with no complaints. I have some amazing Partners who are always willing to help where they can. We are truly blessed.
