Still rising. Starting to come into streets on the west side of town.

96 North Butler students began track and field workouts this week. Including some dedicated throwers at the track Saturday morning throwing in the snow. People should be excited for this season and the future of North Butler Track.

I this week's issue there is an ad about the Knights of Columbus Fish Fry at St. Mary's on Friday, March 2. The front page story about the fish fry however still had last week's date. Please note that it is March 2nd. We apologize for the error.

We inadvertently omitted this information this week: World Day of Prayer will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 2nd at St Mary Catholic Church in Greene.
Please spread the word.

Congratulations to Nicole Heeren and Marcy Jacobs. Nicole was selected for 2nd Team All Conference and Marcy was selected for Honorable Mention.

The blurb on the front page of this week’s Recorder incorrectly stated that the St. Mary’s Fish Fry is a Free Will Offering. The ad inside the paper is correct that prices are $8 for adults and $3 for kids over the age of three.

Pictures from 1984, 1985 and 1986 are now available on

Congratulations Brandon!

North Butler/Clarksville Wrestling

Brandon Trees finishes his high school career with a win and a 7th place medal at the state tournament after beating Gunnar Grunstad of Panorama 3-2. Deserved more but state medals are hard to get and he’s got one. Congrats B.T.!!!

Brandon Trees won his last match at the state wrestling meet and advances to tonight's round where he will face the Denver wrestler that he faced in the sectional and district meets. He is guaranteed at top 8 finish so he can still place as high as 3rd.
