Steak! No matter what cut or part of the cow (or buffalo or bison), steak says rich and delicious! My go to is a beef tenderloin. The beautiful thing about beef tenderloin is that its lean but doesn't lose any of the flavor. It is actually so lean that it really works all year round, yes even Summertime! Maybe skip the hearty sides like mashed potatoes and gravy for a bit lighter sides like roasted baby tomatoes and smashed heirloom potatoes. [ 335 more words ]

We both love artichokes. I mean, who doesn't? Ordering an artichoke at a restaurant is truly a crap chute. Most are too mushy with no flavor. Some are just bland with little spice. Many are boiled to save time which removes any sense of texture. I can go on. Growing up my Mom made steamed artichokes on a regular basis. I can still remember them with a bit of lemon juice and a white dip. [ 578 more words ]
