I appreciate the fact that our town has a newspaper of its own, but am pretty disappointed that the only political voice represented by commentators is that of the crusty conservative curmudgeon. It ...feeds the myth that the only people here in the area are conservative republicans (a delusion that Matthew Hill seems to be suffering from, as well). I'm really sick and tired of Jack Van Zandt being the ONLY political commentator. I'm sick of the bias and sick of the patronizing tone that the H&T allows to continue unabated every other week. I'm also disappointed that there is no mention whatsoever of the Relay for Life event this past weekend. Not one photo, not one article. This is a significant event that our town has hosted, raising money for the American Cancer Society. Where was the H&T? Possibly too busy recovering from the not-a-political-farm-party at the county mayor's place the night before? If you start being less biased and start covering more things that are worthy of the column inches, you'll get a better rating. See More
