"Hydroponic lettuce that is freshly harvested lasts longer in your refrigerator. It’s also pesticide and contamination-free"

With the recent outbreak of e coli in traditionally sold lettuce, wouldn't you like to buy greens you know are bacteria free? E. coli comes from the intestinal tracts of poultry and animals and humans. Hydroponics don't rely on the type of fertilizers that carry bacteria and are safer to eat!

Heritage Gardens hydroponic produce grown at Oasis Farm in T...orrington is bacteria free and delicious! Click the Shop Now button on this page to go to our online store and order yours, with pick up at Act Natural Health & Wellness, 24 Water Street in downtown Torrington.

Special this week-mixed greens, romaine and green leaf lettuce, just $3 a bag!

Seems like food safety is a constant issue anymore. The latest E. coli outbreak is widespread and ongoing. The US and Canada victim count exceeds 100.

Heritage Gardens is a small market garden (1/2 acre) located on a 60 acre private property and horse farm atop scenic Platt Hill in Winchester, Connecticut.

2018 will be our eighth season. We continue to expand in order to meet the need of local hunger-relief organizations as well as the demand of our retail partners and CSA supporters.

Though small, we grow an amazing bounty of the highest-quality produce. We have a crop portfolio of over 40 types of vegetables, herbs, and flowers exceeding 100 different varieties (many of them heirloom).

To maximize our potential, we use an intensive raised-bed garden system. Most of the garden work is done by hand which allows us the opportunity to take better advantage of crop rotations and companion plantings that have the garden bursting at the seams by mid-summer.
